Also, what peoples favorite suits and fittings are for that style of play. Personally, at the moment my favorite solo fit is a very un-Bro Gal logi with junky equipment and a bargain basement price tag. Another favorite is a Gal assault with a mix of damping and regen modules, although white is a very bad colour for trying to be sneaky in... Shouting doesn't make your opinion seem more valid, it just makes you seem more annoying.

Some Mercs, shot by snipers, really think that a sniper has to sit in middle of the battle. Some of them are really angry, especially when I get them on the roof of towers or other high locations. Funny, bcs they try to get an advandage out of their position and if you catch them, they get angry. I play solo because I am not able to use a headset for communication. I am too loud for my family while I am talking and they think I am crazy because I was talking the whole time. Another point is that I have to organize my playing time and it takes too much time often, until the squad is rady for the next battle. I play solo bcs I am an old man, not willing to jump over the battle ground the whole time. I am too slow for these things and I will not nerf my PS3 to get more advantage. But tank spaming has made soloing much harder on certain maps where tanks are hard to avoid. And av is all but pointless when playing solo as swarms and forges mainly just scare tanks away and calling out my own tank is a quick way to be red line railed. Gun control is not about guns...it's about control. The only way to ensure freedom is by having the means to defend it.

As a scout currently I feel I don't have much to offer in terms of team play. I may be able to distract some of the enemy by hacking other objectives to draw them off / flank to to help take out a line of enemy infantry. But I can achieve the same thing in my logi fit and still offer supplies and reps after the engagement making it far more useful for the team as a whole. I do really enjoy playing as a scout. Far more than any other role currently in the game. Even though our role isn't really unique it is surprising how one player can influence a battle, and at times the scout suit really does help to that end. I also pilot but there isn't any vehicle that really interests me. At least not enough to invest the skills needed to be competitive. Really hoping the increased ewar capability of all scouts will make more of a role, relaying enemy positions and whatnot with the reduction to scanners. With the increased suit scan range, the extra positioning options with the cloak and the extra slot for equipment will make an interesting combo. Move up to enemy positions, locate them on the suit sensors and the best place to focus scanner, find a place to rest up and decloak, scan out to alert team. Should be interesting "...where Bylothgar the Ill-postured was made King of the People With No Name But Decent Footwear"

My favourite fits, Amarr Frontline, with just 2 changes, RR primary, SMG secondary Amarr Medic, Shotgun, SMG nothing better than standard. Hopefully they change the redline so you will actually die, must be brilliant sitting back there hundreds of metres behind the redline not rendering, invisible, invincible, can't find you because I physically can't get to you. But I'll stop before I give you the satisfaction and the justification for your actions. I'm mainly pointing the finger at CCP here, take this guy for example CCP, he never dies, ever. Because you cannot get to him, you cannot see him. What your current map design allows for is that players can hide, shoot everybody else trying to play a fair game on the field, and they will do it for the entire game, there's nothing you can do about it. But I do occasionally just lay on my couch and go run a few matches solo, without having to worry about teamwork, your squad and other things that take away from my focus. The fits I use for running solo and in a squad are identical, as the nature of my fits naturally leans me towards running by myself to maximize the effectiveness of my profile dampening skills. The only real difference with my style of play between the two is that I shout a lot more solo, and relay intel more while in a squad. Sometimes playing solo is a burden as you can only hope the other 15 players know what to do in certain situations, and how you as a soloist can help achieve chaos, victory, or defeat. As for fits again it depends on the map and my team when I run solo. It usually goes 5-8 sec uplinks first, Nanohives near AoI, Scans, LV5 hacks for 4 sec hack, Pro AV, Logi rep, revive, Tank, and my favorite Jihad Jeep. Im a Tickle My Null-Sac at heart. I've got a couple of regularly active corpies, I play with them whenever they are on. When they're not, I will generally solo or start a squad which is usually named "Looking for Heavies....". I am not always quick enough with the queuing for most though, so I am usually running solo even with a squad ad in the squad finder. I run Logi 90% of the time, depending on if I have squad mates will determine if I have PRO or ADV Equipment fitted. Those times where I am not logi, I am mostly running Assault, sometimes scout, it all depends on how I feel and how the match is going. I do try to be team oriented though, as all my builds center around drop uplinks, mainly keeping them up and in useful locations.

Just because i'm not on a squad, it doesn't mean i'm not a team player. That said, if and when PvE rolls out, i'll probably disappear into it and never be seen again..... Shouting doesn't make your opinion seem more valid, it just makes you seem more annoying.

I die ingame from time to time. Maybe I should explain that a sniper will not sit in the middle of the battle field. They will not wave a sign and shot: Here I am !! Come and get me! It is logically that we try to get a safe place where we can controll a part of the battle field. And there are always possibilities for an counter attack. I know that snipers are a pain in your ass. Everyone is searching for an advantage inside the game. Some people fly on high points and try to kill others from above. These are my favorites, especially when these mercs send me nice mails, after I got them down. Snipers are a part of the game, we donot missuse any rules. You have to deal with that. I know that I am not brave but it is the way I like to play the game. If CCP is changing something, then I have to adapt my style and I will find another way to feel ok inside Dust. Btw, the map designs became harder for snipers since the last updates. Ofc I have my spots which i like and use and which gives me hopefully an strategic advantage.
