1. Its a cqc pistol ( has the shortest range ) so a longer range side arm would be more useful
2. Its useless. Normal shots are outclassed by scrambler pistols. Charged shot is useless since it cant OHK most suits ,it overheats after one shot, and the breach scrambler headshots do more damage and shoot much faster |

Bolt Pistol looks interesting. 45 Optimal and 60 Effective is really quite strong and the damage is very high. I think it would be a good partner to the shotgun as it covers its deficiencies nice. Magsec SMG might also be cool though it doesn't cover the range gap quite like the Bolt Pistol and I am sure it will be much less accurate of a weapon.
Unless the scrambler pistol gets a significant nerf i dont see any use for the ion pistol |

My fitting right now uses all 303/303 cpu and all 68/68 pg on the adv gallente scout
Its the tightest fitting ive ever made :p |

My planned fitting is
Adv gallente scout
-weapons
Adv shotgun
Adv bolt pistol
-lows
1 complex armor plate
1 complex range amplifyer
1 complex kincat
-highs
1 advanced precision enhancer
1 enhanced shield extender
-grenades
Locus grenade
-equipment
advanced cloak
remote explosives
This fitting requires all fitting skills are maxed (electronics, enginerring, dropsuit core upgrades, light weapons, sidearms, and explosives)
It also requires you get fitting proficiency on the shotgun and/or bolt pistol. Lvl 2 in each will work

And don't revolvers typically shoot really fast? That's always been how I pictured them. Although that's probably way more from pop culture than actual guns...
