Does anyone have an idea of what they could be?
I wouldn't mind if the LR had the same ranges as the RR but having the laser's damage profile. A big change to heat up would be nice, and it'd be sweet if overheat wouldn't kill my scout.
Same overheat damage as the SCR with ranges like the RR(same falloff) and BOOM! LR is fixed.
Dead on the ground.... Think I made a wrong turn :/

I'll just stay optimistic and open minded on this subject. If we start to hype up the laser buff too much then we won't really be able to appreciate the buff when it comes out in 1.8.

Personally I'd be more interested in a weapon much like the LR is now, with a "minimum optimal distance" and then the new maximum distance being about the SR's current max length away. (So something like 50 - 150 m) This would allow it to still have no place in CQC, while also being able to out range most guns on the battlefield, short of a sniper. Basically giving it the "Amarr Sniper" feel I believe the weapon is designed to be.
A few other changes would be to increase the zoom by a small factor, reduce Over heat damage by 10 - 20%. |

Thank god someone agrees that it needs more zoom
I would also like to increase the damage per tier or have each tier have a bigger optimal range.....to where a viziam does its optimal damage in almost 60% of its effective
Real heavies use lasers

Fix the falloff after 84m.
Make it so there's a point in using anything above the Basic Laser Rifle (The heat build up thing is minimal)
These are lazy numbers I haven't really thought about, but something like this:
Effective Range 40 - 150m Optimal Range 70-115m |

I want the old sounds the LR use to make, the camera scope back and reduced feedback damage in higher tiers plus a longer optimal.
