Okay.
I'm SERIOUSLY tired of these people, Logistics or whoever they may be, Using injectors at the completely wrong time.
PLEASE, Do not revive someone if you clearly see reds incoming or if you are already engaging the enemy. DO NOT proceed to repeatedly keep reviving players that are obviously not going to make it.
All you're doing is screwing REAL Logistics players right in the bum. You're making players not want to be revived. Keep in mind, If they go down again after you revive them, IT DOES count as a death. Please be courteous. Because it DOES count as a death, People who respect their K/D ratios will hate your guts. Tis' not good.[
I think what would help if CCP updated the revival process. You're death count shouldn't go up if you are revived, Because when you are revived, technically, You haven't died yet. (The instant transferal of consciousness to another battle-ready clone has obviously not happened, Therefore NO DEATH.)
Anyways, I had some tips to share to new Logistics out there:
1. As I said above, DO NOT keep reviving someone if you can't secure the job.
2. If you do see a friendly clone take an arrow to the knee and see that his armor has dropped, Oblige yourself and rip out that rep tool son!
3. If you happen to come across a poor clone who has taken an arrow to the knee and you see that his adventuring is postponed, Have a Nanite Injector handy to revive him. Save those clones!
3a. Just be sure when you are approaching the downed clone, The area is clear. You also have a weapon at your disposal. Use it.
3b. Once the area has been cleared or You believe it is safe enough to revive the clone, Do so with caution.
4. Rep that clone who has just beaten an almost-certain death! A half-armored trooper is only half-ready for battle!
5. Dish out those hives! You're friendly troopers cannot shoot with faith!
6. Do realize, mistakes can happen. Things can go wrong at anytime. Don't be so hard on yourself if something goes wrong on the job. Its something a Logi has to face with all the responsibility given. Just keep doing your job, and focus on your current mission! :)
Hope this little thread helps with some issues I've been hearing and seeing from other players.
Be safe out there troopers! o7

I won't risk a revive if it looks hopeless, but that's to avoid adding myself as another statistic.
I'll try to pick you up if it looks like you can make cover because saving a clone is more important than saving KDR. Just don't stand out in the open like an idiot waiting to get shot. Take cover and I'll be there with a rep tool to top you off. Don't run to the front line with a sliver of health. |

It's the newberries that have been taught to revive someone for 60 WPs. That's all they care about is the WPs.
I think CCP should significantly reduce it to half that amount or at least give us the accept revival option.
There's just no way a person is that stupid to revive you in gunfire unless they just don't give a damn and want the 60.

Your case is probably different and it sounds like you try your best to make smart revives.
In most cases, a dead clone lies on the ground and you can see from your death screen enemies pushing towards your location. The blueberry will dodge gunfire, sidestepping and strafing to rush over to revive you. Of course if the you're dodging gunfire, you should know that someone or some group of enemies got their eyes on you, tracking your movements. The reviver will still stick a needle in you, regardless that he had to dodge the gunfire at your location, bringing you back to life for an instant death.
It's terrible, especially when you get caught in a loop that you can do nothing about.

Such a great OP LOL. Indeed little Logibros the 60 WP is not worth the wrath of your teammates and the encouragement of those said teammates to hit respawn right away. Think long term WP gains vs immediate ones!
Earlier, I'm on with my assault alt. and kill a guy and sure enough here comes newberry logi charging up with needle out right after him...so I gun him down, then here comes a second guy trying to revive the first needle happy logi......guess what happened to the third guy.....yep. Easy hip fire combat rifle to the face because being shot while mid crouch is begging to be head shot. Easy kills for even a merc like me with scrubby gun game.
Since I am a nice guy I killed those 2 logis before they could revive the other guys instead of waiting and getting myself more kills and WP.
Keep to the 3 Rs logibros: rep, revive, and resupply, but please always remember to do so sensibly.

Just gonna say people, we have a 30 second bleed out for a reason.
That reason is to eliminate the threat BEFORE picking you up.
You got the time, so there's no rush. If you can't clear the area of enemies in 30 seconds, it's too hot of an area to be doing revives anyways.

Geez guys. All these temper tantrums >_<
The main point I wanted to get out was the reviving, Knowing enemies will shoot the clone after the revival.
I gave the new Logibros some tips.
Yes, There are certain individuals out there who actually care about their KD/R. Higher up corps actually look at that.
Also, Its illogical to pick on someone who strives for a better KD/R. It makes sense to them and it is something for them to improve. Just like the rest of you always have a certain something you want to improve on. Everyone's "Logic" is different.
I didn't start this thread for childish fighting. Just as a reminder of what a Logi's work involves and the courtesy behind it. The meaning & purpose. Besides, Why would you want to argue or fight with a logi who may be putting those lovely reps on you? Because, Honestly, I don't give a **** who it is. I'll rep you and I'll keep you alive. Its my job and I'm there for the team just as I'm sure any experienced Logi would be.
Also, Sorry for the way I typed this^. I'm on my 7th shot of Jim Beam Honey Whiskey. Its the best I could do.

Here's a simple solution to the revive problem. A suicide button. When you're bleeding out, pullin your trigger causes you to suicide. If there's an injector in the area, the game tells you already so then you just have to decide if you want to be revived. If no, suicide. If yes, wait to see if anyone revives you. Well with a scanner I can help my team get more kills efficiently and man oh man, do the points rack up on a well placed scan before an orbital!
We as Logis might think of it in terms of risk/reward. Injecting in a LOT of situations is high risk, low reward (possible gank and only 60 wp), while scanning, repping, uplinks(in a tactical location!) and laying down hives 99% of the time low risk high reward, for they can be done in cover or not in direct combat. Tirage, guardian, intel kill assist, team resupply, these pennies add up quickly.

CCP needs to address the injector issue as a priority. Not because its the most important issue, but because it is a relatively easy fix.
Easiest Fixes:
1. Remove militia nanite injectors. If you only have enough SP / ISK invested to equip a militia injector, you shouldn't be doing it
2. Increase injector ISK costs. If you have a little more at risk, you are less likely to be rewarded for farming WP
Harder Fixes:
1. Negative 50 WP for every clone you revive who lives less than 5 seconds. If you revive and then rep you can get 100 + points, but if you intend to revive / rinse / repeat you're going to get very little reward. I suggest -50 rather than -60 since mistakes do happen
2. Require a clone to request revival. For clones who wish to be revived, increase the time before death.

I got revived yesterday with a proto needle when the area was cleared.
I wish I remembered his name and sent him mail. It was an honor getting revived by him. |

Storm Shelton wrote:Okay. Tis' not good.[ I think what would help if CCP updated the revival process. Your death count shouldn't go up if you're revived, Because when you are revived, technically, You haven't died yet. (The instant transferal of consciousness to another battle-ready clone has obviously not happened, Therefore NO DEATH.) Anyways, I had some tips to share to new Logistics out there: 1. Your friendly troopers cannot shoot with faith! 6. Do realize, mistakes can happen. Things can go wrong at anytime. Don't be so hard on yourself if something goes wrong on the job. Its something a Logi has to face with all the responsibility given. Just keep doing your job, and focus on your current mission! :) Hope this little thread helps with some issues I've been hearing and seeing from other players. Be safe out there troopers! o7 I am guilty of farming WP like this. Me and a red made a system actually, I would heal and get 60wp and he would kill for 50. Some other red killed me and ended the, 13-14 streak.

I've said it for a while: don't award points unless the target lives for 5s, otherwise do -50 for teamkill. |

I only agree with the last one. Medic is one of the free suit options, it is the one that got me started down the logi path. We should have things that can be used stupidly, the game shouldn't be idiot proof. |

I try to only revive when I have a squadmate there to cover me. That said I am a very good shot I do my best to clear the way before the revive but its not always easy to get it right.
What I would dearly love to see is a points balance between the different nanite injectors. I have to constantly compromise between getting the guy up with good health to get them out of harms way or getting more points for using a less advanced needle and getting + triage points - earning us orbitals. Its just not right.

As a logi I always try ot only rez when it is safe. But there will always be the odd time an enemy is waiting to get a shot unseen. I wish players had an option to refuse the rez. Another option would be if your rezzed and killed witin a very short time say 5 seconds it does not count towards your k/d. |

I tend to revive someone then make it a point to step in front of them, absorbed many sniper shots that way. But if you get rev'd and just stand there like a tard the next death is as much on you as the logi. Soon as you get to your feet you should be jumping and running to cover.

This is what I use my tank and extra 5 HP/sec armor reps for many times! Needle then cover the guy with my body if possible while getting out that rep tool. Granted unknown blueberries are less likely to get this full service logi experience, but my corp mates can expect I'll trade my clone for theirs.
@Logi Stician, I love the 5 R's I never would have thought of rally for uplinks. Anyway, keep to the code logibros!
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

Almost given up carrying injectors at all too, apart from on my proto suit - it's a full time job as it is, whipping out the repper once 'medics' have revived a squad/team mate in the midst of a firefight and run off, leaving them with 25% armour.
I'll take the triage/guardian points to keep them in the fight any day.
