So from what I've heard so far and seen according to CCP's data sheets:
-Scouts get a 75% reduction in CPU/PG for using the cloak -Activating the cloak prohibits you from using any weapons, -You cannot move without being seen (essentially you have to be stationary in order to be "invisible"), while using the cloak
Questions that I have:
-What is the bonus you get from investing into cloaks (i.e. rail rifles get reduction kickback) -Can you have more than 1 Cloak on your dropsuit?
Am I missing anything else?

No only one cloak, and the bonus for being invisible?.... Well...er, invisibility?

Unless its as bad as remotes, my guess is that higher levels have easier entry and exit properties or less shimmer on movement

I am guessing there is no difference in the advanced and prototype other than lasting longer and having a better Active to CD ratio ala Vehicle Modules. I assume it will be invisible when not moving, maybe a slight shimmer when moving, and unable to attack/hack/enter/exist/use equipment for a second or two after uncloaking.
I am not sure how exactly it could be used super effectively but I am positive someone will figure something out that it is just completely obnoxious, effective, and fun. |

Higher level into Cloaks will probably either just let you use higher level Cloaks or possibly make the module last longer. If there is some kind of penalty, maybe higher level will reduce it. Say it takes 3 seconds to be able to attack after uncloaking. Each level will reduce the duration by 10% per level, down to 1.5 seconds.
I am going to say "no" on more than one Cloak. Would be hilarious if they were foolish enough to let you do that though... Nyan san will get it nerfed into uselessness

-I think CCP meant reduction to CPU/PG consumption of the cloak equipment. It would be absolutely silly and morbidly stupid for the cloak to actually take away 75% of your suit's CPU/PG when fitted on a scout. -We're not sure if melee is counted. -You can move without being seen. You just don't get noticed as much as you would without the cloak. If you sprint, your cloak fluctuates even more. Scouts apparently get perks when fitting the cloak that other suits won't have.

-To weapons? None. The cloak has a built-in profile dampening bonus of 25%. Not sure about the skill books, though. -According to CCP, no. Just like in Eve Online you can only fit one cloak equipment per suit.

I don't care how noticeable the 'shimmer' is. The most important part of the description so far was 'enemy cant see your health bar'
The amount of times an enemy has picked me up by my floating red 'Kill Me' chevron above my head or all my dampening rendered useless due to infallible suit vision.
As I keep saying. Its not invisibility so much as camouflage which is what I've been wanting from the beginning
