I think it would only be right to take all of the isk that you are farming, or maybe even just half of it and give it to the 'community' if what you claim your are doing is true.
So here's the challenge: Take at least half, if not all of the isk you are generating from your districts and donate it to Dust University to facilitate better new player experience. I think they may be one of the corporations best suited to leverage a donation to serve the community in the best way.
Upvote if you think this has merit, or comment if you think district lockers deserve the isk they are getting. |

While I am very skeptical about this and doubt PC's 'benevolent' saviors will do so, I choose to hope for the best while expecting the worst. Also my experiance with DUST-U is limited, however I am inclined to agree based on what I do know and a lack of a suitable alternative.

What do you mean, "You don't blame them"? Typically, 'we don't blame' people when they have no option, or were coerced into something, or are victims of tragic circumstances. If we are saying we don't blame them for the tragic circumstances in which they are cooperatively voluntarily locking their districts just to collect piles of isk for which it would be a challenge to just intentionally lose at the rate that they are making it...then I'm afraid I don't share your opinion.
They have won the districts fairly, I will grant them that. Their strategy for holding onto them is a little more complicated, but I would totally place blame on them for their current greedy practice. They are not victims. |

I know many D-UNI players and all have confirmed how they had zero help while in the corp. If PC owners did this then they will be padding a certain CEO's already fat wallet.

Define 'waste'...
Because of how expensive protosuits are, a new player (in a 25k isk suit) has to lose 5-6x as many suits as proto players in a 150k isk suit.
So if a proto loses 2-4, a new player can lose 10-24 suits before the new player technically starts 'losing' more to destruction.
I'd argue that a new player's experience of learning how to play the game is worth more to the community and those losses would be more of a gain anyway, because at that point a vet really wouldn't be learning too much unless they are experimenting with new gear. |

I would think that these Dickers (District Lockers) may want to only give to corps that more directly support new players in their own time zones. So I'm unfamiliar with the Asian TZ and if there are new player friendly corps there that may be a good target for this kind of thing. |

New players get isk, and they will get it in the name of all the people who are proto-stomping them. They won't have the right to be as pissed at you, and they will hopefully be in more than just militia gear, so you get even better payouts. Your money will likely come back to you in one way or another anyway.

Eve University has been going for quite a few years mentoring, providing skill books etc... to new players to help them learn the game. There are several in-game charities as well (although quite a few scams I'm sure)

I gave EVE-U as an example, I haven't had any real contact with DUST-U and so I'm not sure they would be the best recipients for such a donation. Perhaps the Learning Coalition as several members have been putting out good guides and information for some time now (a form of charitable donation I might add).
I do not deny that New Eden is a hive for scum and villiany, and yes that's why it's so interesting. However, the fact that no one is shoe-horned into being a bad guy means two things. 1) being nasty is more fun. 2)that you also have the option of helping out.
Without the freedom of action available in this sandbox universe (that we will hopefully have a little more access to at some point :P ) good and bad actions are largely meaningless (WoW as an example)
Therefore let those who are farming a broken mechanic show their support for DUST by sending those ill-gotten gains (not ill-gotten in a good way i.e. a broken stupid game mechanic) to an organization that will use it to perhaps help the NPE, since CCP seems rather incapable of doing it atm.

Yeah, I don't see this happening at all.
If it does, IDK if it should go to D-UNI, if they are anything like the things I have heard about E-UNI, well, let's just say it would be put to better use by buying huge numbers of tanks and proto suits and then running around in pubs not engaging anyone except for running straight at them.
Actually, I think that is a great idea, spend it all on expensive gear and then just let it get destroyed in pubs. This will disperse the Isk to a wider segment of the community.
Though, this is all just speculation because what happens if CCP deletes it all?

D-Uni does not deserve any ISK at all! It is a sham corp run by one person only and that is NOT the CEO. There comes a point though where, if your pursuit in the game is purely about seeking out flaws for the sake of exploitation, you aren't really doing productive QA. What you've done is bastardized the enjoyment OUT of the game.
You have made QA your personal game and you've basically become a disgruntled and unpaid CCP employee humping a tiny part of some code that needs a little attention.

I can't tell you how to play, but I can say that if you want respect as a 'Gamer' then play the game, don't exploit the code. It is too bad that many of the tools pulling off this **** don't feel the same way you do man.

To clarify the history and explain peopleGÇÖs feelings about DUST University:
I was the Director of Education at DUST University for 5 months. I left D-Uni because the CEO was unwilling or unable to deal with a fellow Director who was bullying the students and instructors. At least 5 DUST University Directors have left D-Uni due to the actions of that same Director. Some quit the game completely. One stopped playing for 6 weeks and then committed suicide shortly after returning to the game.
Around 50 prominent DUST University members, including most of the instructors, left DUST University the same week as I did, due to the actions of the same Director. I was not aware of this until several weeks later.
There was another mass exodus from DUST University in early December.
In December the D-Uni Director who had been causing all the problems at DUST University came on the Forums and tried to convince people that I was mentally unstable in real life and that I had left DUST University due to a mental breakdown. Most of those posts were deleted by CCP.
Here is a snip from one of his posts that was not deleted:
Quote:Fox, you are a joke. Stop plagiarizing other people's guides and programs and passing them off as your own. You were manipulated by a angry crybaby who couldn't follow the rules. A real man would have approached the other and confronted him about the issue. Instead of going behind his back and mailing a bunch of unbelievable non sense in a failed attempt to get him removed. Then when you couldn't get what you wanted you quit like a teenager throwing a rage fit. You are a puppet..good luck with that.

Fox left, taking with him the body of work he had been working on for D-UNI. Fox begins new corp and starts publishing Fox Guides.
Also the ex-director's suicide was not causal, despite Fox' insinuation that it was, and Fox should be ashamed of himself.
Today is the sort of day where the sun only comes up to humiliate you.

The only people that should be ashamed of themselves are those that are still involved with D-UNI.
"Didn't follow rules"
I laugh at this above remark due to the fact that the corp is still being run like an evil dictator would run their country. I can't believe that anyone would even put up with that ****. I didn't and I did what needed to be done. I am so glad that D-Unis reputation has been destroyed and that the leadership were exposed for what they are.
