Probably would easier to just nerf DPS. The racial rifle with the most range (RR) shouldn't have the same DPS as the the rifle with the least range (AR).
I don't like the idea of giving more weapons overheat, I like the idea of it being Amarr only with a few exceptions.

Personal attacks =/= valid argument. If you disagree with me about something, use logic and present your case in a reasonable manner instead of just "Do you even Dust bro?".
Yes, I play the game (playing character is just called KAGEHOSHI).
Aside from the rail rifle, what else have I "spewed math" about for the purpose of nerfing recently?

Rail cannons, rail turrets, and small rail turrets in the game over heat. So it only makes sense that the RR should overheat.
In this way at longer ranges you are still efficient. and at close range you can stil defend yourself in a pinch (like the scrambler rifle) but you can't run around the place slaughtering people in close range (except scr rilfe can still slaughter people close range)
Same logic can be applied to blaster turrets and ARs, but doesn't mean the AR should overheat. Its too much of a punishing feature, and the RR isn't that OP that its warranted in my opinion. Nerfing fire rate by 10% would be enough to give AR a solid edge over the RR at close range.
And at comment #12, yeah but I also spend a sizable portion on my time on Dust as well, and I make it a point to test out suits and weapons with various alts to get a good picture of things beyond my role (which is Amarr asault and SCR)

Like I already told you, I play Dust, go ask Cat Merc, Arkena Wyrnspire, Mobius Wyvern, or someone else i frequently squad with.
I have personally tested every weapon in the game, usually on my alts (my corp is basically an easy way just to transfer ISK between alts, I have to test everything on an alt before skilling). I got an alt advanced Caldari assault alt with rail rifle proficiency an alt for testing, but even in standard tier its overpowered. So yeah, I tested it, I test everything.
The rail rifle is the first weapon I thought truly deserves to be nerfed in many many months. You make it sound like I'm going on a "nerf it" spree.
