That is kind of like saying "the IRS shouldn't give out tax refunds because people will spend it on prostitutes and drugs." I would hope that an overpowered option wouldn't exist and if it does, it would be balanced out in a fairly short order. After all, the fit/flavor of the month is generally short lasting. Even then, don't punish the average person with the hookers and blow argument.

Whether or not there should be a respec should depend on availability of informed choices. For example, if all racial rifle figures were released--but only the AR was available--then someone would have had the knowledge to spec into the AR or wait. Similarly with all the dropsuits. Given that we didn't know anything about other Heavies, and considering that suit bonuses are changing, which greatly affect choice and decisions made, then giving a respec is understandable. >> Play Dust 514 FREE! Core Upgrades, as a previous post stated, can't be considered wasted SP and Weapons because they are so cheap to get into (unless you need proficiency Lvl 5 to compete).

I've heard this too which is quite odd considering that the dropsuits slot layouts and CPU/PG values are all changing so naturally what you need to best fit it to your playstyle in Dropsuit Upgrades also completely changes. Especially for Amarr players, who up until this point were portrayed as the dual-tankers of Dust and are now the heaviest armor tankers of Dust. Technically they don't have too for assaults and logo's as only the bonuses will be changed, not the skill tree itself, but I think Dropsuit command will get the respec due to player (and possibly CPM) pressure. If the assault & logis get a respec, then they will probably have to respec the Dropsuit Upgrade tree as well. It's slightly different for the heavies as there are 6 (9 if you include the basics) new racial classes of heavies being introduced, scouts as well, as there are 2 new racial scout classes. So they should all get the respec, as Heavy and Scout players have not had the same chance to spend their SP into their preffered racial suits as the assault & Logis have. It is not quite the same as the recent vehicle respec, because the skill tree changed for vehicles a big way and removed some vehicles from the market, not just bonuses and additional gear. TLDR; Player & CPM pressure will win out and Dropsuit Command & Dropsuit Ugrades will get the respect
