Will there be an sp reimbursement of the dropsuit command and weaponry skill trees? I would assume so because all racial suits and weapons will be released, but most likely not. After all this is CCP we're talking about.

Thoughts and opinions please. Shed some light on these rumors i've been hearing. Thank you.

I actually think it will be Dropsuit Command and Weaponry.

Dropsuit Command is obvious. Weaponry is because of the massive change to Assaults and Commando requiring people to either use Racial Weapons or just be completely inferior. Dropsuit Upgrades, probably not as regardless of what you are using, you would want more passive Armor or Shields.

I hope dropsuit command, dropsuit upgrade, and weapons all get respec.

Assault and Logistic suit bonuses are changing, so people may want to change what equipment and modules they use.
With new heavy and scout suits as well, people may want to switch from the current heavy/scout suits to the new ones, or switch from their current suits.

The commando suits also have different weapon specialization to consider.

Plus, it would give many newer players the chance that beta players had in re-thinking their SP choices over-all to make for better characters in general.

Just like the vehicle skill. Sure they could have kept the turret skills and just refunded the ones that have been revoked but it wouldn't be ethical.

Possibly because Upgrades skills are almost never wasted SP.

 Weapons on the other hand.....

I'm fine either way. I got more SP in weapons than I do in Upgrades (only by a little), and will only take 2-3 weapons to proto if respeced.

The rest will go into optomizing my Upgrades.

I will have exactly 1 proto suit in 1.8, and this will be my Minja

Heck, all of my skills are build around running a single Minja fit that costs around 17 mil SP to run the MINIMUM on the suit.

Personally I'd like a full one (I'm very tired of my completely useless decked out AR tree that I don't use any longer). However, I'll last if there was just a drop suit tree respect. I would like the upgrade tree though given the changes to equipment.

Weapons should be getting a respect, since suits will now be bonused for certain weapons.

Dropsuit command should be getting a respect, because we are getting all the dropsuits and changing bonuses on the ones we have.

Dropsuit upgrades should get a respect, since you may be going to assault out of logi, so you don't need all the equipment. Or your getting an armor suit and wont be using your proto shield mods anymore.

 Thats exact point.
There is too many changes and from taht reason full respec should be esential.

True, its hard to justify a respec over mere changes(no matter how extensive) in a game where we have no overall SP cap, and can just grind more to get the shiny new stuff. Plus, the 5xWP event we just had would be a great way to save SP for the new stuff.

I remember one of the Dev's saying a respec is 'Disruptive' to the player continuity and they wanted to limit it to one more:when racial parity is at 100%.

At this point a respec would be a nice gesture, but I highly doubt its in the works.

So when do you think we'll reach 100% racial parity? Half a year? After 1.8 there will still be a lack of weapons for some races.

Dropsuit command and upgrades very likely, but weapons no. They release two new weapons in 1.7 and no respecs were given. They are releasing new sidearms in 1.8 and I think they'll follow the suit of not allowing you to respec your weapon trees either.

I think the sensible thing for CCP to do would be to AT LEAST give us dropsuit command respecs. That would satisfy most people and would be totally plausible considering the upcoming changes.

A full respec would also be very welcome but I would not moan if we just got the dropsuit tree points back to reallocate.

My solution to that is that if CCP gives us a respec and a majority percentage of players goes into said "theorycrafted best suit", CCP should nerf it with fire!!!!

I believe that would teach the FoTM chasing bitches to be more careful with their choices.
