ER-Bullitt wrote:Kinda seems like this post is asking for a buff to sniper rifles. If that is the case then, no. Sniping is very easy in this game.. no bullet drop, crosshairs turn red when you are on your target, minimal foliage or terrain for people to hide behind (lots of wide open spaces) pretty much every map is a bowl with elevated positions all over the place, etc etc etc. Just... no.
Hit detection could be better, but for the most part, youGÇÖre right. IGÇÖm a good but not great sniper and I find it fairly easy to get 15-20 kills in a pub game with the occasional 30+ kill game (explano-brag?). High alpha weapons are hard to balance without either making them over powered across the board or, as is the case right now, weak at the top end. My only complaint is that PC sniping requires a Thales and I only have 8 left. |

In essence, we're forced to feed on the weakest players while being little more than annoyances to the proto crowd.
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure of what can be done to remedy the situation. I'll take a sniping position if I'm able to cover at least one node from a position of relative safety (i.e. redline or edge of the map) but asking me to get closer to the battle...that's hard to do when I'm restricted to a sidearm as my only means of self-defense, seeing as to how the game doesn't enable you to hip-fire the SR with any idea of where you're actually shooting. Give me something--even if it's a reticule the size of the HMG's--to at least give me an estimation of where my shot might go.
Put a dot (or a little piece of tape or a little piece of clear tape with a dot) on your TV. Make sure the dot is smaller than the ADS dot so you can still see it turn red. Problem solved. Also, the SMG is a beast at CQC. |
