FWARM Is primarily a new player corp which offers training, information on how to use SP or what works, in game tactics etc etc and seeing countless messages from different players about the exact same issues time and time again I just thought I'd share this feedback with the community and ask ...
Protostompers .. Why ?
This game DESPERATELY needs more players, if there were more players more people would spend money in this game thus giving CCP more money to improve and develop the game faster, they could hire more people and make this game everythign it promises to be yet there are 2 MASSIVE stumbling blocks this game faces
1. CCP being completely unable to understand the NPE and to implement a system to actually CREATE 1 that isn't simply 'cannon fodder for the vets'
2. The Protostompers themselves ... It's as if they actually want the game to fail ... sure I've heard excuses saying it's CCP fault we are just playing the game ... but whilst CCP are guilty pf creating a ridiculous system bathed in inbalance YOU are the ones exploiting it and actually turning potential new players away
--- I'd just like to point out to the Rainbow Effect Person who mailed me QQ after I informed 1 of his squad mates how much their actions are hurting the game ... Yes it is QQ .. I want the game to succeed and YOU are causing the exact opposite ...
The "problem" is really simple : vets got experience and skillpoints, while new players don't have any of them. Nothing less, nothing more. A first step to this would be a complete remake of the academy. You learn nothing in there. I remember that on my first day (before the academy even exist), I needed a complete afternoon of explainations and help to understand the mechanics. Couldn't have done that alone without my corp.
Do you really think we are pleased to enter in a game and be in the enemy redline 5 minutes (or less) after we began the battle ? Or in other words to roll over a red carpet ? Some people might enjoy it, but I know for a fact we don't in Prima Gallicus. We play in public matches because we need ISK, we play Gallente FW because we help our Eve pilots.
On this matter, CCP is to blame, even if I love them and I like Dust ; they should have studied a new battlefinder system for public matches which is based or on the time spent on Dust, or balance the number of SP on both sides. As a consequence it would allow for vets to have interesting games more often, and it would still make sure new players are aware that veterans exist, and that with time they would be able to acquire both skills and better equipment.
And like it has been said before, remember that New Eden is a ruthless universe. |
