not so long ago our blog did a story about the PFBHz robbing an ISK shipment from PRO. http://dustmercs.blogspot.com/2013/03/pfbhz-intercept-pro-shipment.html it was actually an unusually high reward ContrabanJoe put on a corp battle but we added fiction so it sounded more like a story from new eden. that got us to thinking, at some point we will probably see corp HQ with an actual location. EVE Vegas mentioned in PC we will soonGäó have the ability to steal resources.
we are sure corp armories will reside @ an actual physical location so what about the corp wallet? Will it be located in a vault? surely they are e-funds but could you hack it and steal some? would u like to see this type of theft gameplay or is that simply excessive? If you would, how would u like for it to be done? |

at any rate, No. I'm positive funds will be banked in the same mannor as EVE. You can't steal EVE ISK directly. |

Sounds like a scout exclusive squad based mode where a group of scouts can break into hostile has which must be defended by it's Corp members and the scours infiltrate deeper to hack into their funds and escape.
Sort of like the black eagle description. Except no warning against incoming attacks and players of the Corp online at the time would hear alarms in their quarters and know to deploy.

this could in no way be exploited and elite corps would definitely not rob everything you own, and corp assets would definitely not be put on mule accounts to protect it.

It's just an idea, Ccp would obviously balance it (lol!)
I like the idea of being able to customize the layout of your own hq and then the scouts would go in blind, fighting on someone elses turf with they're own defenses built into the base.

that first post? Do they talk about it more? That sounds like a random terminal in a pc match. This would be an actual indoor structures whose layout can be changed.

Actually was just speaking with my room mate about this. Although he deleted the game and vows not to play it (very much) he said that its dumb that you cant go rob (insert alliance/corp here) and take some of their stuff. Or do a little bit of damage, kill off some clones,

I'm for that within this particular context. It then becomes a matter of infiltrating the ranks of the defensive fire team and mucking things up so the infiltrators may proceed.

Really like this idea. Don't resort to normal attacks where guys can go in guns blazing. Let it be extremely hard PVE 1-4 guys max (no respawn) where they have to stay undetected from the AI turrets, alarms and AI mercs. If they get seen they are essentially ****** as they can only escape (a timer starts a 5 min countdown until the building locks down trapping them) if they attempt a shootout they will get overwhelmed easily (think cops in GTA)
if they are discovered a corp mail goes out that saying "an intruder has been detected in your corp HQ" and anyone online can join in on hunting the intruders down.
If they get killed the corp they tried to rob will get a CONCORD message with the would-be thief's name/corp. |

PVE would be great! also like the concord msg revealing their identity if caught. if they arent detected they can hack the armory and choose 5 items from salvage and hack the vault and steal a max of like 30m isk. then they have to escape the base and get to a extract point to get away. |

Never happen. The qqing would be awful, and then the EULA would get involved when some eurotrash guy complains he lost stuff in a match he wasnt a part of.
Like the idea though...maybe a bonus for finding a location. |

As long as corp could put in place adequate safeguards to limit access, meaning that someone had to work hard to get in a posistion to do it then I'm all for it.
If it's been done using an exploit or glitch that CCP have overlooked and not fixed then no and those falling foul of such an exploit should have all their assets returned by CCP till it is fixed.
Meta gaming by design is fine. By exploit use, no.

agree here. maybe make the cost to launch a theft mission prohibitive? limit it to once per week? really like the one suggestion re: attacking a corp to distract them from a robbery attempt. |

Was thinking there should be a version for the non-sneaky players too. Some ideas:
1. 72M ISK to launch attack 2. Limit it by giving a 48hr reinforcement timer. 3. attackers have 50 clones and defenders 200. 4. attackers have 10 minute countdown to get into vault/armory hack it and get to extract with loot [turns into capture the flag after they have loot] at RDV extraction point. After 10 min the HQ locks down and the match ends. 5. defenders have AI turrets and any other defenses they add to their corp HQ. 6. defensive advantage maps with interactive doors and gates, hallways and other fortifications.
*in the end it should be hard as hell to mount a frontal assault on a corps HQ to steal stuff. |

these are good and do a great job of making it extremely difficult. Defenders need to spawn first as well. |
