Scanners should be able to find everybody BUT the scout IMO or at least that potential needs to exist. I think the scanner should be 18db OR there should be some assurance that non-scout suits have a slight increase in their profile OR a minimum DB cap of 20. The fact that a single complex, 5 in dampnening, and the cloak beats all but one scanner seems to be a little of an issue for me.

I might also just be overthinking.

For a medium frame to even dodge an advanced scanner they'll need to use up a low slot for a profile dampener, and how many medium frames would do that over another armor plate or armor repairer? And I doubt many medium suits will use the cloak since they'd have to sacrifice even more low slots to fit it and all the cloak does is serve as a relocation tool. Just some theory crafting, but I'm guessing nearly all medium frames are going to choose armor and armor regen over hiding from dampeners and cloaking. However, how much functionality of the suit do you have to sacrifice to use that fitting? Any scout using a cloak will be hidden to anything but a focused scanner. Any scout with level 3 profile damps, 1 enhanced damp and a cloak will hide from focused scanners. A level 5 gal scout with level 3 damps and 1 enhanced damp will hide from a focused scanner whilst uncloaked. All of these fits are viable and would leave lots of room for more good equipment. Also, the new logi equipment CPU/PG cost reduction bonus will not affect the cost of cloaks. We want cake and tea.

Scouts will still be the main guys avoiding scanners. I always run a dampener on my medium frame. But I also run a scout as my main, so I'm adverse to appearing on radar at any time.

All scouts will have a base db of 35 The Focused Duvolle scanner is now at 20db. Im happy. GIVE ME A RESPEC CCP.
