I've seen pretty bad players (who would normally have a greatly sub 1.0 k:d ratio) go 8-0, 10-0 with these "bad" sniper rifles, and good players go 20+-0 pretty regularly. That being said, I don't think they need a boost. If you are having trouble using them, be more picky with your targets (scout suits standing still are typically one shot one kill), aim for headshots, use higher tier sniper rifles, use suits with many damage mods, and stay out of the range of your opponents, stay crouched while shooting. All these things will help you be more successful with them.
They don't suck, trust me, but you can't be a mobile sniper such as in games such as counter-strike, you have to be much more patient. |

Agreed. Sniper Rifles are certainly not UNDER powered. I carry a sub 1.0 k/d and typically run a Logi fit. For kicks I recently tried sniping with all militia gear. Over five matches I went something like 30 and 2, including a few head shots at over 400m. |

Sniper rifles have always had bullet travel time in Dust. It's 2500m/s. |

You're overestimating the length of 1/5 of a second, and not taking into account the problems with rendering and hit-detection when trying to engage a scout at 500m. |

Im a Commando, I snipe on front line right behind a heavy usually, I see no Problems with it, But I say Decrease the Damage of some snipers (Charge + Basic Variant) but also give them a higher Efficiency for Headshot damage. So Body shots from them would still hurt pretty bad, But Head shots are lethal. Leave the Tactical snipers alone, They are fine, They aren't built to 1 hit anyone, they are built to be a quick kill weapon because of its increased zoom its able to get headshots easier, maybe 1 or 2 people a clip (Given its a 3 round clip).

yes sniper rifles should be fixed.. I want multiple levels of zoom from 5x to 10 x to 25 x zoom. that way at 500 meters I can see your eyes as I put a bullet into it.
at 400 meters a head shot is a guess with the nt-511 seeing its only like a 5 x zoom and the c-15a is only like 7.5 zoom
modern day snipers today are getting kills in the 1-2 kilometer range (1000-2000 meters) with much slower rounds. why?.. ohh they have high end scopes that actually allow for zoom and makes doing 500 meter shots through quarters possible. So no sniper rifles are fine the way they are.. hell I still say more then one level of zoom is needed. a low level zoom so you can find a target and higher level zoom so you can actually aim for the head, and not just where you think it should be. |

The damage is good. The range is mediocre. The zoom is bad.
Buff range slightly and buff zoom extensively.

They have Bullet travel time already..... 2500mps........that's what it was 6 months ago anyway...don't see why they would have changed it

akira...sad to say you cant bring real life into this game........us sniper would be overpowered....longest recorded kill by a sniper is something like 2.6k...that's wider than some maps, I like the idea of that but just think it will make it easy for us....But I do believe we should have a variable some and not a fixed one....maybe some in and out using the L2 and R2 buttons when aiming....
and we have bullet travel time at 2500mps which you cant really notice at long distances because our target is covered by our red dot

Charged Sniper Rifle with proficiency on 5 and 5 x 10% is not able to kill all full-proto Assault/Logi with singiel headshot(if they is running on full HP). This is a problem. It's like we have not 3 SR but 1 with is Tactical version.
Damage needs to be increased.

Since 1.5 the "Increased zoom fidelity" has been removed... The only weapon with increased zoom for a sniper rifle is the Thales. Period. I loved tac snipers before they removed that option. If you are commando then equip a tac and a regular sniper and go ADS and see for yourself, no zoom increase, then test it against the thales, that thales used to be what all tac sniper rifles used to be. |

Someone sitting behind the redline, or somewhere equally remote, picking off scouts and people running around militia fit, isn't an argument for them being the way they are. They just suck. |

Yes please, I wish for a variable zoom scope.If were sooo far in the future, why can't we zoom in or out/ adjust our sniper scopes?
If at first it doesn't work, beat it with a brick.
