FULL RESPECS ON DEMAND FROM AN ITEM ON THE NEOCOM MENU.
Because, it just doesn't make a difference to the overall game, and no one should care what anyone else does with their SP.

'man' used like that does not refer to gender. Also, DUST is only free if you didn't pay for it, just like EVE only costs money if you do pay for it, cuz you know, PLEX.
The point is that in EVE if some of your bonuses are jumbled around, you have PLENTY of other things to do still, and many of those skills will cross over to other playstyles.
This is not so in DUST. In DUST, you shoot the other dude, you heal that dude shooting the other dude, or you AFK. Those are your in game options. Changing everything up entirely invalidates some past decisions, it totally throws current builds out of wack (for better or worse), and when you are stuck in your single type of suit with your couple of guns game in and game out, it takes a significantly larger toll on a players enjoyment.
Basically speaking: different games are in fact, different.
I'm not here to argue about gender politics and semantics, which I could, so I'll leave that point alone. Dust is free because you do not *have* to pay to play it. Your argument is that in eve you can pay with isk and that's true to a point. The isk buys you a plex from the player market which another player has paid real money to buy in the first place. Just because CCP let you buy plex with isk doesn't mean they haven't got money for the time you get to play. If plex weren't on the market, you would have to pay to play. True, there are other things to do in Eve, but quite a number of people choose not to do them and not to skill for them like you, and others, including me, chose not to spread your sp out across more options. And each expansion brings changes to one or more playstyles, even the more minor seeming ones. Yes the free game has less options than the paid one, I fail to see why that makes it so you have to have the refund to keep playing how you want to. Each type of suit will still have bonuses to assist the roles it was designed for, you don't *have* to fit to those bonuses if you don't want to.
CCP gave three choices: A, B, and C. Except A and C didn't exist. Someone wanted C and wanted to play, since B was the closest in the unchoices available, they unchose B. Then C and A were made and put into the game, and the player said, "Okay, now can I have C like I wanted form the start since you basically said it was coming but wasn't here yet and I wanted to play in the interim and that was as close as I could unchoose?" CCP, wisely and sagely, should say, "Yes." Because: It doesn't matter at all to the overall game and no one should care what anyone else does with their SP.

Because it doesn't affect the overall game in any way and no one should care what anyone else does with their SP. I gotta make this my sig.

At no point did I mention any need for skill points to be good. Sorry that was strictly for the top tier players who only compete because they FOTM, not the little pubstompers.
You're right, they shouldn't have the SP system at all.

Gunmouse wrote:You saying that the need for SP's make you bad in this game is hypocritical. By that logic why did you feel the need to spend all your SP's on skills that you now obviously regret...... because you needed those skills to be "good". While I on the other hand save skill points because I don't have that same need to be "good" as you. I'm comfortable and competitive in a PC environment and don't have the need to spend additional SP's to be at that level. Nice try though, you'll still probably be able to skill in to FOTM still so don't worry carebear.
Right. Remove SP from the game. Agreed. Bumped.

Or I MIGHT like C.O.D. better, depending on reading level, since we're into personal attacks now.

Why are you seemingly so afraid of a Skill Points system removal? Do you need Skill Points that badly?

I don't..... that's why I have 2 million unallocated SP's. The real question is... why do you need to FOTM so badly?
So, you never need SP, and all I can do is abuse it, we need to remove it, right?
