It would benefit players who are looking into joining a certain corp because the corp description area does not really describe a corp very well. "We are awesome duurrr, we are team players, very friendly, and are not serious duuurr." By showing a corp's tax rate publicly, people will understand the corp a little bit more and if joining them is worth it.

Agreed, this is a must. It's one of those little things that should be easy to put in. |

Actually I believe it should be up to the Corporation Advertising, or the applicant to get this information. If you're joining a corp and you don't ask 'what's the tax rate?' then you're going in unknowing.
The tax rates for many corps change based on what they are doing. Most don't keep a flat rate unless they don't change activities. So If you see it at 10-15% you may think, no... but they may be running an event for a week, or actively involved in a war with a higher need to fund it. When they would normally run at say 5% or lower during 'peace time'.
It would simply allow misinformation to be automatically gathered and stop people asking questions and determining if the corporation they are applying for is really the right one.

Its already automatically gathered and available to people through the district API. It would be better if it was available in Dust though. |

To what end? It still prevents people asking the questions they should.

I agree that they shouldn't put it up, that a person should ask, My corp doesn't change its tax rate (we have been 3% for a long time now) but i know some corps have events that help fund them. I believe i heard of one corp having for 3 hours every couple weeks, they set the corp tax to 100% so that they could fund their PC battles. Also like Jackal said, some corps move their tax up or down based on if they are currently under attack or attacking, or if they are not under attack.
Just like Jackal said, if you put it, someone could misunderstand and wouldn't care to ask why its up, even though it could just be up because of something happening
