If I'm chasing someone who is alone, I prefer softening them up with the shotgun then finishing with knives just as they turn around... |

I guess the main advantage to attacking that close is to be able to make out, with crystal clarity, exactly which gun blew your creamy, cloney brains out the backside of your helmet.

My best knifing attack was killing three people hacking the same CRU and then two more that came around the corner to try hacking it. None of them reacted. If there was the sound of gun fire it would have ended very differently.

I got ten people in rapid succession after finding the only uplink placed by a sniper in the mountains. ubtil i got no scoped buy the girl next to me

With a nove knife you can stab fvcker. You can use it in your kitchen, And with wiath weapons you can fry things your finger and other stuff. I like fried eggs.

LVL 4 Gal scout here. the short answer to your question is yes, It all depends how you want to play. the galente scout will be better suited for infiltration and attacking red letters, using its innate stealth and long passive scans to catch defending reds with their pants down. I see the min scout working better as a defensive role, patrolling blue letters and hiding in the shadows using its powerful melee bonus to cut down unwary hackers and using its hacking bonus (1.8) to cancel any hacks that may have gotten through.
IMO if want to be a good scout you need to learn everything you can about the three types of scanning and how they affect you.

med frames maybe. heavy/gal med frames, there isn't a snowballs chance in hell you're dropping that with one hit with out a crazy amount of complex sidearm damage mods

The stealth aspect is probably the biggest plus. I'm not a scout, I always run Assault suits, but I can tell from scouts using shotguns behind my back that they're better off using Nova Knives because 9/10 times I do a 180-¦ and kill the scout with a shotgun behind me before he gets the drop on me.
If scouts were using Nova Knives I wouldn't even have a chance.
