There's supposed to be. For instance, Amarr Assault has a bonus to Amarr weaponry. We have it already. Just not far enough. |

for the base items yes, but i would like their to be some diffrent types that sorta crossbreed into diffrent styles after core stuff is added

I would rather see a weapon compliment the race's drop-suit and play style then give bonuses to it. That way it makes you want to use the weapon, instead of forcing you to use it due to the possibility of losing out on a bonus. The weapon should be the easiest thing to change on you suit to meet the current needs on the field. |

now i would like to see an extra racial weapon fitting bonus that is based on the basic suit skill level.
for example
Amarr dropsuit command
then amarr assault suits
Amarr dropsuit : X% need for CPU/PG for laser weapons per level
Amarr assault : 5% reduction to heat build up to laser weapons per level. Amarr assault:: 5% bonus to armor repair modules per level. |

And your example is exactly what we need. Some suits have higher fitting abilities because their racial weapons cost more fitting. Currently, we don't have any advantage to go with the appropriate weapons, so people just fit combat rifles if they are low on fitting resources.
In EVE, you can easily fit some projectile weapons on Amarr ships and save a lot of fitting resources, but you don't get the hull bonuses. A Minmatar ship would be more useful if you're going to use projectiles.

Just giving bonuses is easier. If you haven't noticed, many things in this game are balanced via the unnatural approach, instead of making the balance organic. |
