CCP dual tanking has got to go. It is ruining balance within this game. Once damage modifiers become a thing of the past it's going to be the same thing as before either you shield tank or you dual tank no exception. For those of you who have forgotten a dual tanked caldari Assault has 552 (625.55 now) shields, 392 armor, 25 sHP/s on a 5/8 delay, and 5 armor repair. That's over 1000 eHP with the fastest passive repair outside a scout. A dual tanked Gallant Assault has 367.8 shields, 716.25 armor, 20 sHP/s on a 7/10 delay, and 5 armor repair. Both of these suits are just ungodly.
If these suits were not dual tanked the Caldari assault would have an EHP of 745.5 and whatever he puts in his lows other than armor, and the Gallante assault would have 826.25 EHP and whatever goes in his highs.
P.S: don't remove dual tanking unless you provide logical slot distributions. For example with the current slot distribution it is impossible to follow logical racial profile. Specially without capacitor...

i tried shield only and its a f***ing joke. It not worth it at all.

What's worse yet is that with the new heavy suits (both Sentinel and Commando) each race is getting quite a bit of their weak tanking type, so they sort of have to dual tank. In my opinion, the HP on all heavy suits should shift away from the weak tanking type and into the strong tanking type, but maintaining the same combined HP.

What does a Minmatar use in battle?
Whatever he can acquire, be it Minmatar tech, or something picked off the enemy.

Are we talking about dual tanking in the aspect that Shield-intended suits will always also stack plates, or that armor-intended suits will also stack extenders, or both? There's different methods to solve those two issues, and it comes by way of either making the support mods (like regulators) more enticing, or making something useful for high slots (rather than just damage mods).

I straight up armor tanking (as an Amarrian should) on my suits - Complex Plates in the lows, Complex Damage mods in the highs, shield extenders are an unnecessary expense for an armor tanker.

I went 22-2 last night in a recharge oriented shield only Minmatar logistics M-I defending an objective against a squad. I've been changing all my fits to not rely on armor modules even though I have maxed armor skills. I'm doing it mainly as an experiment but so far I'm happy with it. I guess it depends on your combat style.
