So, I was using an AR on my alt, which is all Light Frame/Scout built, and I was rockin' blacksuits into oblivion. Then it occurred to me:
My straffing SUCKS on my main!
I have a sluggish Amaar Assault and a not-so sluggish Caldari Assault.
How can I get them to strafe better?
What builds do you use?

I've never felt I could actually strafe like other people, even when not armour tanking. It feels sluggish, especially as I watch people practically teleport right and left.

They use keyboard, unlike a joystick were turn acceleration increases the further you move the joystick from the center( in order to maintain accuracy ) the keyboard buttons hit top speed instantly, so left right left right will make you a hard target in close quarters |

I started KB/M but since then one of my USBs on my PS3 broke. I know Regynum uses sticks, but I only see him strafe with speed tanked Minmatar Assault Suit.
My "V" strafe seems to be the only effective one against non pub players.
A side to side strafe will trump any pub player.

no one speed tanks. there is no way to increase movement speed. Heres a tip:
forward and backward movement is faster than left/right. take that as you will.
