It was around 2.75 last I checked and I'm damn proud of that, I'm not much for FPS games but in this one I'm doing okay. I remember taking out a WTF Surya with a Gunnlogi rail in ambush, and was chased by angry french men for the rest of the match until eventually they got me, I still won the ISK war though. Missiles were absolutely horrible, Rail HAVs weren't as bad back then as they are now, it took me about 5-7 shots to take out that Surya, and that was with a Proto Rail, and a lot of skills into turrets. Mines below .7, but thats because I ran nova knives on my scout for the longest time and usually went 2 and 17 on average. After i started using the shotgun my kdr is about 1.5-2.5 on average, though i do occassionaly have some really bad games, Which is even worse for a shotgun scout, because you have 0 range Yes, I did kill Archduke Ferdinand. Rarely go positive, but generally in top 4-5 on the WP board overall (top 3 on team) as a logi. Mostly run close to even, but that progress is wasted by my mass spamming of starter fits when the mood strikes me. I've started 1-1 (losing adv suit w proto equip and earning 1200WP) while trying, and then gone 3-18, spent no more isk, and earned a couple hundred more WP for remainder of the match just cuz I was most definitely going to kill "this one guy in proto." Almost always get them, and could do it faster with a better suit, but I feel it important when the protostomper finally dies, that it be to a starter fit.

But i have gone from a consistent 1/10 per match, to around 1/2 regularly. I thank skilling into armour and rifle proficiency for that, as i believe my "gun-game" probably peaked at around the 1mil SP mark....

I want to get better at something competitive for once in my life. /emo * gives a standing goddamn ovation this is a laudable goal, keep it. gun game and learning the maps will come in time as with any game. but there are things you can learn without trial and error or at least minimal trial and error. fittings, talk to the older members of your corp learn how to get the most out of every fit you make. if you're in an npc corp then the rookie or just want another opinion training grounds are a great place to ask questions, even if you're not a rookie. you're a mercenary, you are contracted to kill, you don't have to take the contract though, open up the killboard before every match look who's on the other side, look who's on your side. if it looks like your gonna get stomped leave the matchmaking isn't optimal, everybody knows it. there is no shame in declining the contract if it doesn't look profitable. that doesn't mean leave every match that isn't a sure fire win but pick your fights. It should be on the way up since most games I'm 'positive', but if not - I'm not that concerned. I feel my skills and tactics improving and to me that's the important thing. As long as you are having a good time, and working on what you want to work on - that's the key. As much as I like stats and data, in some sense not having this stuff would make the game more enjoyable.

If KDR was important to either I wouldn't solo so much and of course use a Rifle. Stats on our virtual character sheet only become important when we let it. A big mistake with my Main who was not using the most competitive fit/weapons. If you've drank the KDR Juice Onesimus Tarsus then try out what has worked for the majority of Slayers. Medium Frame with best buffer and damage bonus options, use a Rifle. Up until the ScR one of the AR variants had always been the best general option for combat. If history repeats the big-four will continue the trend. Be ready to chase new opportunities, stockpile SP. Blaster HAVs have made a triumphant comeback, things may change again so cash in now. Network with others, good squads can be laid back FPS-Gods or anal retentive A-Type Slayers. The right squad will have a knock on KDR effect. Be ready to jump squads or not even play when the options aren't the best. Personally I'm a recovering try-hard. That line between competition and stress-mania is so blurry crossing it is easy. Are you running mostly CQC vs Groups of enemies in an aggressive get the most kills as possible sort of way? Or are you laid back, calculating and picking Your Battles With care? KDR is only viable as a meassure if you incorperate the players playstyle and role.
