Learn how the Japanese language is structured and in what context certain words or letters have meaning, then you can begin to translate.
As far as I know, there are at least 70 dialects of Japanese.

Its been about 6 years since iv bothered learning Japanese, its quite hard and my understanding may have decayed but how its structured is the hard part, they don't use the word 'the' if I remember right.
the letter 'e' can mean 3 different things depending on context and the way you say it if I remember correctly.

For example, a Sentence: good morning.
in English we read it as:goo, d, mor, ning.
and Hypothesis this is not English but Japanese, then you may read it as:
g,o,o,d,m,o,r,n,i,n,g.
the real good morning in Japanese:
püè,pü»,péê,püå,püö,püû,püä,pü+,püÖ.
just read every letter in line.

Yeah but anime is not valid lol, have you ever heard a REAL Japanese person say desU? I'd have to say you'd be lying if you did, iv not and these books were not cheap, almost -ú300 altogether.
