It's almost impossible without PvE... Can't stress how much we need PvE ... even if it's a simple gamemode, that gives you poor ISK/SP. Has anyone had the same trouble?
Tanks 514! Cheap, fast, Indestructible and you see tankers telling it's balanced...
Just makes you want to quit this BS

After recently playing Borderlands 2 I can now understand how decent PVE is actually realyl good fun and would work amazingly in DUST.
I have always been a critic of 'single player' games and even co-op VS A.I type games - pretty much since online gameplay stole my heart back with Unreal Tournament on the old Dialup modem ..... ahh dialup.... I dont even think we measured ping back then it was so high , did we? lol.
Anyway yes PVE would help new players starting off, PVE would be good fun for even us older mercs , a nice change of pace when we just want to blow off some steam.
The EVE universe has SO many different pirate groups and enemy corporations they have such a supply of potential 'bad guys'.
Sansha with their invasions into our territory. Blood Raiders with their vamperic technology. The Serpentis with their sleek mafia type ways. And many many more entities.
This game has SOO much potential its incredible, I just honestly hope they get there sometime. |

Best way would be practise mode... Because they said that they will have practise area where you could try all weapons. And they said it will be soon... (they said it the last summer or spring if I remember correctly, so I guess we will not have practise mode)

Your sentence is too long. I fixed it for you. The set up for new players is atrocious and the only way we keep new players today is through the community. (some of the community at least)

People have been asking for PVE since beta. The detail and history of New Eden would be awesome to explore. The trick would be connecting it to Eve in some way. Sleeper stations or Drone stations incursions by mercs. |

I think if PvE were to exist it would also open doors to small campaigns and in house tournaments for corperations. I think that the simple benefits are obvious but it is also the other crazy awesome stuff you can do. I mean, imagine racing LAV's for corp ISK or making bets on accomplishing things within the environment.
I think the PvE should have the option of choosing a side as well so that you can properly train people and make your own in house mini games. |

Personally I try to help a noob a week with our corp. Sure a lot suck and can't get there head around the skill tree and fittings.
That said I have found some amazing players doing this. Who have stayed with dust and are now committed players.
Also I have found also as they grow up with the proto stompers there skill grows quickly and become very deadly very quickly. |

There is already a thread out there that talks about the benefit of training servers for corps: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=93506
Give it a thumbs up and/or some feedback. It needs to get more attention even if it will be a few years before we actually get it.

Having a mission builder would be nice. Call it "Training ground construction" or whatever. Basically an overly complex obstacle course built by players for players populated with "target drones". Scored, timed or anything. |

Someone bumped it just yesterday.
EDIT: and to clarify, I think CCP likes it better when we use the 'search' functionality to speak to things already being said. Can't tell you how many times the community has chided me via 'gosh, someone already wrote a post on this, geez'. Also, the original source has some outstanding feedback that I want CCP to pay attention to. It needs all the bumps/feedback it can get.

You knew your ping when the modem reported the connection at 14400 bps. I had a 56k that would connect at 63600 on a penitum MMX. Good times. 48mb of ram, almost seems like a joke now.

So it was very rough when I first started but I didn't have any issues with that until i started to hit the 4mil mark. I started realizing that, although I was doing better, it wasn't good enough. It wasn't quantifiable until I broke 5mil that I can do well in the game. But I still get "proto" stomped. Normally it's really a "wtf, this guy got me. Time for revenge" stomp. I seem to bring out the proto revenge now more so than any other time. |

I also tend to break 1k in WP pretty much every game unless I decide to soley snipe for S&G's. I'm not that good at it so typically only get a few kills. well i applaud you for sticking around

It's very much possible, it just takes the individual themselves to understand what you're expressing. I have found that playing Dust 514 has improved my FPS game as a whole. I see it when I dabble with other FPS titles and I come in with a monstrous brute force that's unlike my gameplay before Dust 514.

Yeah I remember they mentioned this at the last fanfest... but then again, a lot of what they mentioned at the last fanfest never came to pass.... of course losing their executive producer right after fanfest probably didn't help... |
