I actually went into the game to see if there was conflicting information in the dropships description or some other place supporting your claim, there isn't that I found.

however, the loading screen with the map key denotes light vehicles as an empty shape, medium vehicles as a half filled shape, and heavy vehicles as a filled shape. in game on the map the dropship's symbol is an empty triangle, hence it is a light vehicle. as of this post according to map icons, and market descriptions, there are NO medium vehicles in dust.

when did they get reclassified? recently I hope? damn, I feel really bad that I missed something that obvious...

Also, Swarms should fly faster so they're more likely to hit them. The main problem I see with Cal LAVs is that there are no viable anti shield AV weapons to take it on besides a blaster turret. But once they add in heavy lasers and such, they should pop quite easily. We want cake and tea.
