what to say.....
its a light vehicle.... a LIGHT vehicle, yet it tanks more than my dropship with base HP, (gal on anyway)
Please reduce the HP of MLT and STD LAVs back to Chromosome or Uprising 1.0 levels.
A proto AV nade should one hit kill LAVs A proto forge should one hit LAVs (in terms of gallente lav)
old hp values of Chromosome and Uprising 1.0 were
Onikuma. 730 shields, 310 armour Baloch, 320 Shields, 1130 armour
Something like that. Those are the HP values that a Transport/light offense vehicle should have, it not a freaking humvee....
And on a sight note. LAV gunners need a turret shield.

This is no troll post, its a LAV, if we buff av then it throws everything else out of balance this will keep happening. And then you will see LAVs with 10000000 HP.
The only reason LAVs were buffed in Uprising was because of AV, but now AV is weak, the HP of LAVs should come down again...

this is the part where your argument falls apart. LAVs and dropships are both light vehicles, then they should have roughly the same tank. by your recommendation one forge gun rounds worth or an AV nade.
Dropships are medium level aircraft, I am not the idiot to post something I have no clue about.

They have less moving parts than a dropship so they should be less susceptible to damage. Then there is also the fact that they need to be geared to handling low amounts of impact damage from terrain and objects.
Lets also not forget that it is a light ASSAULT vehicle, it is made to get infantry into battle even in sticky situations while a dropship is meant to be in the sky and its freedom of movement is a much greater defense than a little extra armor.
The only problem here is AV, this can be seen in all forms of AV in the fact that the only effective thing against vehicles is a tank. Swarms need a range buff along with more damage and AV nades need a damage buff (I dont know about forges). Once that is done LAVs need more speed making them more able to escape but also easier to wreck or kill yourself if you hop out without braking hard first. Finally dropships need a small shield buff to balance them out with the longer range of the swarms.
They have more cover, they DO NOT need to stop to accurately drop troops. They can turn buildings and easily drive behind buildings without needing to think of the threat level, the potency of AV.
Dude even my dual dmg mod gunloggi with an ADV rail can not one hit kill a frigging methana and a balovlch if I have 1 dmg active.

Foundation Seldon wrote:To mention the base HP values and not the slot layout is disingenuous, yes LAVs had lower base HP values in Chro/Pre1.7 but they had a lot more options in terms of fitting in order to pad out HP values to about what we see today (with base resistances!).
The problem you're talking about isn't a problem with LAV base health so much as it is with very low power of AV at the moment, buff that instead.
As is though, Proximity mines are your friend when properly placed.
Ye, buff AV and throw everything out of balance, then we can have ANOTHER 1.7

It is not a balance issue... Would you be happy seeing jetbikes in the future updates with 2000 EHP?
