Didn't read through all these posts so perhaps this request was already made, but the one and only thing i really want from this newsletter is a way to set it on my account to receive the english version...
So give me an option to select in which language i want to receive the newsletter... nothing against the dudes making the german translation... but... sometimes it's just horrible... |

Can't say I've tried taking any screenshots of Dust, but how about a "best" or "funniest" screenshot competition, will involve amusing moments and possibly more free stuff (which everyone seems to like.)
Possibly make a different objective each newsletter, aka "best screenshot of you blowing up a tank/jeep/dropship/unsuspecting infantryman... and so on. |

What I would like to see in newsletters for each month is news about Dust affecting Eve, maybe a showcase of some really awesome battles that have happened. If possible I would like to get my hands on some say coupons for different weapon types, like a package deal that costs isk from say a corporation I have helped or the faction I belong to. Maybe each side should get a news of the war going on from say the ruler of their faction to try to muster support. In general just fun stuff, the freebie stuff is nice...but honestly more of a whatever, if I could get a high lvl weapon package deal from people I have helped out, that would truly be awesome. This could also be done with LP for the faction warfare stuff instead of just Isk. |

I'm late to the party here but I'd love to see more content about the development process, it gives context for players, provides a ready link in to any new items/features/et al that are rolling out soon and need to be showcased, displays the art and lore (setting really can make a large impact on the enjoyment of gameplay). It would also give a chance to provide an overview of what's going on/went on that month thus allowing players to use the newsletter as a quick reference and/or way to get back up to speed if they've been on vacation (as I recently was ).

I got the newsletter!!!
What's strange is:
- I never got a newsletter at Email A.
- I changed the account settings for the newsletter from Email A to Email B.
- I got the 50 lazer rifles on next login.
- I just got the newsletter at Email A.
So...changing my email in account settings worked, but it's definitely out of sync, given what my account settings is telling me Email B is what I'm signed up with. Either way, just wanted to give feedback. I'm not complaining, happy to have a newsletter!!

So strange - have you added to safe senders?
By the way, we could be going to spam if some people decide to unsubscribe by reporting as spam in Gmail rather than properly unsubscribing/changing subscription preferences... so if you are a DUST newsletter subscriber and don't want to get it anymore, take the extra few seconds to properly unsubscribe or else you could be negatively affecting how Google registers our emails sent to other players. Thanks! |

First, the inhumane privations you are being subjected too by the Caldari top brass are deplorable, really. On the other hand, i'm enjoying the newsletter, and honestly, what's one individual's suffering in the creation of art? Rest easy that long after the hunger and pneumonia(i assume they also turn of the heat) take you your works will live on in the immortal hearts of many a hard-bitten New Eden mercenary.
One thing i've really wanted to see on the Forums, but i suppose the newletter would do just as well, is a centralized list of 'talking points'. This would be a set of topics that CCP development was kicking around for possible(or not) future development and where focused player input would be valuable. The contents of the talking points list would roll approximately with develoment cycles.
The motivation for this is forum contibutor efficiency - there's a lot of topics and potential areas of development kicking around on the forums, and what's hot on the forums may or may not have any alignment with where we are in the development cycle. It can be genuine puzzle to know where we are at in a development cycle, and not all committed players have the time to immerse themselves in irc or Skype channels. The limiting factor is time - there are many peeps who are actively striving to supply CCP with quality feedback but RL obligations for many peeps are the limiting factor.
I'm thinking it would be useful, productive and convienient for peeps to be able to pull up a list of topics from the latest newsletter, pick a topic or two, and get straight into the relevant threads with their input.
Just an idea. Keep up the good work, CCP Blowout.
P.S. If you let us know where they're holding you maybe we can slip a few crusts of bread under the door ;)

I just received my news letter. Late yet again. Lets try to make sure we all get to see your fine work at putting these suggestions out BEFORE events start please.
I haven't lost anything, been killed by it ect. but it really Would be nice to have them in a more timely manner as well.

Hi - sometimes it is just not possible to send out newsletters before events start given certain timings, sorry.
Also, for those using email services such as Gmail etc - they do delivery staggering and there is literally no way we can get around that except by having players all add us to safe sender lists. So I can send the mail at 1pm on Wednesday and you might only get it 1pm on Friday purely because Google or whoever decide to do this.
Best way to ensure you get it quickly? Add us to safe senders - which also helps prevent false positives on spam flagging! Bonus win win for all! |

Hey - this has been explained here:
At least one login during the anniversary event - from server up on 22 January until server down on 28 January - is required to qualify for the dropsuits. Dropsuits will be distributed on or about 29 January following server up. Additional terms and conditions may apply.
