I miss grabbing the Ol' Trusty Thale and sniping poor clones. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone else felt this way about officer weapons. I see more of them going to waste then being found. I hope I'm just going nuts, And the officer weapons earned in salvage are still floating about in the Netherworld of Dust ready to be claimed by a rather lucky, victorious clone. And yes, I know I'm going to hear these just because I Thale snipe: (EXAMPLES) "FXCK YOU STORM AND YOUR THALES AND YOUR LIFE AND YOUR GRANDMA!" "SNIPERS ARE PUSSIES!!!" "HA! GAY!!" calisk galern BurgezzE.T.F Public Disorder. 1609	Posted - 2014.01.13 16:13:00 - [35] - Quote drop rate on officer weapon is absurdly low, so low in fact the last thales i found was 2 months ago and before that 3 months. months and months and months ago they dropped the officer weapon drop rate because they said they had planned to implement them into a system like factional warfare. thus having them drop like crazy would ruin that new system when it finally came around. well now we've had 2 separate implementation of factional warfare and still no officer weapons, for the love of god just give them back to us. it was so enjoyable to look at drops after a match and see a sagaris or a thales and know the match was worth more then 200k isk. the 200k isk standard for every single match is the only thing we can expect, and it's the most borin concept ever implemented into video game format. I don't even look at salvage drops anymore because I know nothing will be there.

I broke out 3 Krins AR in a pub yesterday, and my "game experience" changed dramatically once people realised what I was using. It was ace! At one point, (on my third Krins) I had to dodge, dive, dip, duck and dodge my way around the ENTIRE map, (bugger, cant remember the name, the 4 points parallel to each other map) having my HP chipped away, until my only option was to try hacking a supply depot - one measly bar left and what felt like four rail rifles opened up on me, 800 ehp gone in 0.2 seconds. I was laughing hard, and my heart was thumping harder still. I'm definitely gonna start using them more often. Because I'm mint. If you see me in the redline, driving an LAV in circles, fear not! I got some wolfman's pistol the other day, three copies in one go. It was on a new alt that I had created for operation shinobi event. I think it was in an easy peasy academy match too, so the theory that you have to finish high on the leaderboard might be correct. Never got the wolfman's before. Looks like a beast pistol though. Going to have to hold onto that alt now, until the player market drops. Desperate attempt to get BPOs

Nirwanda Vaughns 266	Posted - 2014.01.15 17:44:00 - [52] - Quote In EVE officer equipment only drops in the deepest 0.0 sites and so it'd make sense that the officer wepaons in dust would be just as rare. although to be honest i think they may be a bit too rare. before when we used to get 10 of each many of us ended up with quite a few over the months but when the loot table was changed and they dropped the given amount to 3 it was a typical CCP 'over nerf' if they kept the drop rate the same as in chromo but left the given amount at 3 it'd still be a reasonable balance and we'd perhaps start seeign a few more dotted about but currently with rumours of Market 2.0 more than likely coming in the spring patch (appril/may) then peopel are saving them in order to make a butt ton of isk from them. in all hoensty though i am saving my isk to buy a few of the Balac's Modified Assault CK.0 just for warbarge candy Proto and proud!!

Other times I have been near the top and got some. I have no idea how the rarity works out it seems to be totally random. However I miss back in beta getting them by the stack of 10! ahhh :)

What makes it special, is that like the other "specialist" weapons, it has reduced fitting requirements. If I remember correctly, it needs 10 less CPU, than the normal equivalent. I reaaally wish you could buy these straight out. Nice rifle.

Those are the only ones that I care bout :( rubberband akf. trust me. i have 2 ps3s and while i'm playign on one char i have an alt rubberbanding and i get officer drops all the time. in the past 2months i've had 15 each of the gatsuns (forge and hmg) by going 0/0 0wp and being bottom of the table. on here i can get 2000-5000wp a match go 20:6 and be at teh top pf the board and get jack s*** and both cahrs are in the exact same games on the exact same side. my other squad mates are the same too. my afk char gets more salvage than any of the rest of us over my alts i probs have 150 balacs, 100 each gatsuns, 100 KRIN, far too many calas smg and wolfmans pistols. its pretty broken tbh Proto and proud!!

The specialist sniper rifle is great a mid-range suit. It's cheap enough that you can use it outside of the red line. The Thales may be deadly but most will only redline snipe in a heavily tanked suit. The C27 is the only sniper rifle I have in a fitting right now.
