I rarely see any officer weapons in salvage anymore. More specifically, I rarely get any Thales. 
I miss grabbing the Ol' Trusty Thale and sniping poor clones. 
Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone else felt this way about officer weapons. I see more of them going to waste then being found.
I hope I'm just going nuts, And the officer weapons earned in salvage are still floating about in the Netherworld of Dust ready to be claimed by a rather lucky, victorious clone.
And yes, I know I'm going to hear these just because I Thale snipe:

I got about 600-700 officer weapons. That said, I haven't got one in over 2 months.

Really? I seem to be getting more. I got 3x Thales in my salvage 3 games in a row. It was ridiculous.

Yeah, It just sucks. I miss some of the officer weapons. I don't use them anymore, Because I'm afraid they will turn into relics and will vanish. |

I just got about six Thales last week, and a couple of Balacs.

While it seems to be essentially random when they show up, I think you need to be at or near the top of your team to get them, and I've gotten a few in the last week.
Now what I have noticed in regards to officer weapons....is that I see far fewer being used on battlefield than I did before outside the occasional Thale sniper.. |

Be thankful that your weapons were around when they decided to add officer weapons. Ever since that point, no new weapon has received any officer variant.

i've gotten them a few times this last week. You must have done something to irritate the God of Random Number Generation. To appease him you better sacrifice some Thales by fitting them to militia dropsuits and rushing into masses of enemies.

I don't pay attention Salvage anymore since there's nothing I could do with it other than use them and lose them in pubs.
That being said, I have a metric **** ton of them in Assets already. When that P2P market finally drops in 2018, I'm going to be rich.

I have at least five officer's weapon of everything except for the one weapon that I want the most.They won't give me a single Wolfman's pistol for anything,and I guess that kind of figures,considering that I have a lot of SP sunk into it.

Rumour has it they are going to be pulled, and a pittance of AUR given in return. Never used a Thale myself but have a respect/rage relationship with that Sniper Rifle as something of a legendary weapon in DustGǪ |

A buddy who almost never plays shows up and got six Gastun miniguns within three matches.
When the salvage numbers first changed I stopped getting anything Officer for months. It had gotten bad enough that just hearing about others getting them was like a slow death by a thousand cuts.

I still think you get the ones you're least likely to ever use in salvage.
I've never used an officer weapon, yet I have only 3 thales, under 10 wolfmans, and a fuckton of everything else.
Ofc, the weapons I use the most are sniper rifles and scrambler pistols.

The only times I've pulled out my Gastun's Forge, I've got three more in salvage.
For a net gain of +4 :P

I have about 30 something Thale's but have not salvaged even one in at least a couple of months. I'm not sure if I should train in Sniper Rifles to use them or hold onto them to sell if ever the market is released. |
