I'm going to say useful, because people said the commando was an sp dump.....my sig is proof they were wrong.

As a Plasma Cannon user I get what you are saying about under-rated items still being useful if used effectively, but a commando has always had a decent base HP along with 2 light weapons and an equipment slot, I've never underrated the commando It has the ability to support any good squad .....
Being an invisible Gimp is a different story, I don't see how a cloaked scout is going to out-do a fast scout IMO once we adapt to seeing cloaks used, they will be ineffective
We know what the pg/CPU costs will be?!?!?!?
And on a side note, my basic commando has all of this unused pg/CPU because it has no module slots, so i most likely can fit a cloak on my basic commando, but once I get into the higher tiers (proto specifically) I have to downgrade all my mods to enhanced or basic if I want to fit 2 proto weapons, wich to me is a fair trade off. So I don't think we will see many proto cloaked commandos.....unless they have barely any health mods equipped.
I see that scouts will become gimped and I want them to get a buff, I truly do. But until we know what the CPU/pg requirements are of the cloak, we don't know "how gimped" the scout will be.
The commando is gimped in the respect that it has very little module slot count (at proto it's only 3) and has the worst shield recharge rate of any suit in the history of dust. It has a 10 hp/sec shield recharge rate....that means 35 seconds for a basic commando to go from 0 shields to 350 (full).
Perhaps I should go scout next and rant all over the forums to get the devs to listen :p

Anyone who consistently runs scout knows that sacrificing this for a cloak will inevitably ruin our ability to contribute to the team...
Believe me I know, I ran MLT scout for a while and loved it, but I also realized that your equipment is your best friend, so here's to hoping scouts get 2 equipment slots :)

I agree with you on one point, the more threads I read the less I want one, As for being scannable??? Are u crazy??? what is the point in cloaks if you are scannable??? Think the cloak should make you virtually impossible to scan. Idk how this would be carried out but I can think about that.

Also, I'm a little concerned that the Gallente Logi seems to be potentially typecast into the role of info gatherer. And for that matter that Scouts in general seem to be forced to use a cloak or waste their skill bonuses. cloaks being OP is always a concern but they changes some people want for cloaks would just make them useless and more hindering then helping. So I do hope cloaks aren't OP when they come out but I also don't want another useless item in Dust, ie precision enhancers and plasma cannon. Hey!!! I run dual PLC and kick butt...so they are almost useless :p
