With the event coming up I'm sure there's going to be a lot more people giving knives a go for the first time. So in this video I go over the knife damage model and some basic knife strategies and tips.

Wanted to point out your damage model is incorrect. I (being a proto mini scout with pro 5 knives) have done extensive testing. Currently Nova Knife Damage is 2.5 times the base at a full charge.
Basic knives no proficiency or bonus with a full charge do 225 damage per swipe (if base is 90).
Advance Knives do 325 per swipe (if base is 130).
Proto knives do 525 per swipe.
Now put that on a proto minmatar scout with proficiency V Ishakone Nova Knives do 714 Damage per Swipe fully charged.
We tried to test headshots as well but a damage increase didn't occur. This could be from one of two things You can't headshot a blue dot. Nova knifes do not receive a headshot damage bonus even though a 150% shield increase can be seen via efficiency HUD. |

A few other tips:
When slashing- the 4th slash will result in the SFX firing off but the animation not playing. Thsi will result in no damage, and will continue for as long as you mash the slash button. You have ot stop slashing for a moment and move, or melee to rest whatever gets hosed.
Try to melee instead of slashing for the fourth time. This will help you avoid avoid running into that bug.
Also, in the current build, if you slash then sprint, you will find that you do not sprint at full speed. Again, you have to either stop for a second or melee and run.
Both of those situations get you killed a lot.

If I melee to get my slash working, and kill the guy while I am at itGǪ I have no problem with that (admittedly I have only had this happen twice)
Mostly i just maneuver/jump/slight pause (or die to a back peddle spray of bullets) before the forth slash and it does not glitch
