I have no desire to be 'tested' by my own team to see if I'm going to 'act like a crybaby' or talk back like I've 'got a pair'. I have no need to be white knighted as some male gamers seem to think all women need. I'm here to play the game and have a good time. I don't have to act like 'one of the guys' to do it. Part of the reason I play online games is that in RL, I'm not self confident or really outgoing in the slightest. Online, with the buffer of the computer/console, I'm more confident, although still far from outgoing. I'm not the best at FPS games, I know that but I'm getting better with practice, just like anyone does. I'm also not all that competitive, KDR and who's top of the leaderboard don't mean much at all to me. I'm certainly not here to pick up a gamer guy, as has been suggested to me in the past, I'm just not interested in men that way. So for those of you that this applies to, keep your testosterone fuelled ideas of what a woman in a game wants and treat me just like you would anyone else. I know for sure that if you're red and in my scope, there's nothing that will make me pause before pulling the trigger. (Releasing the trigger really, I mostly use a charge SR but it doesn't have quite the same ring to it) EDIT I hadn't seen that BFF episode before, thanks for the link. When I play as a sniper, I'm more likely to be nearer to the opponents redline than my own.
