Minmatar scout melee bonus is still less than medium frame melee, even when maxed out; its also weird for it to get a bonus to another race's weapon (nova knives are Caldari). The 5% hacking speed bonus (which seems like its going to be removed from the Minmatar logi) would be perfect on a scout given that they have the speed to quickly and stealthily reach objectives.

This is the first I'm hearing that the min-logi is getting its hacking bonus removed. The whole reason I went that route is because of that benefit. Sigh. Well guess I have to +1 this as well since I will have to re-spec into min-scout for the hack bonus I want. |

GREAT wasted all my SP in Minotaur logi for the hack speed to be taken from me? Damn. Also yes I feel the light frame needs something more than just being a dead man walking. Hack speed would make me use it more. I even got those complex codebreaker things

That would be OP compared to the other bonuses. Remember, they're going to have cloaking soon. Nova knives will be relevant (if tweaked). |

The bonus is not needed to make nova knives useful while cloaked. Also, I don't think a hacking bonus would be OP compared to the others (the Amarr one might get a cloak cooldown time reduction bonus, and the Caldari one might get a bonus to be able t fire more while cloaked).

Althoug the minmatar bonus does not not make that much sense (unless we exactly know how cloaks will work) the hacking bonus would sill make more sense on the gallente scout.

I don't know about the Minny Scout in particular, but something like a hacking bonus is generally the sort of thing I'd like to see on scouts. It's more generally useful and not restrictive to a certain playstyle like a cloak bonus would be (it requires no special equipment, etc.).

I'd like hacking speed to be a role bonus of all Scouts as well as the cloaking bonus.

I don't under stand why people think that a scouts role bonus should have anything to do with hacking. logis already have an innate hacking bonus and light frames are to weak for that role to mean anything. imo if you want a fast hack scout, train the skill and/or use the mods.

I'm proposing this as a racial bonus, not a role bonus, but it would indeed fit as either. Caldari could get the role bonus CCP is considering (cloak field fitting bonus) as their racial bonus.
I'd be fine with this as either role or racial bonus.

That would be a bit unfair to the min. It only has two lows so it wouldn't get much use out it (myofibrils are useless).
Giving the Min a direct sprint speed increase allows it to make up for its low number of low slots while also ensuring it is the speed scout.
As for making hacking the role bonus, I don't think the role of all scouts should be hacking. Each suit should focus on weakening the enemy in different ways.

What do you (if you are a Minmatar scout) or others use those 2 low slots on? I'd figure you could just one for a dampener, and a kinkat in the other.

True. I believe most min scouts do use 2x kincats and if the bonus was like 5% per level to biotics efficacy, they would move at similar speeds as if they had a 15% base sprint speed increase. I just prefer bonuses to affect base stats rather than specific modules so they can be helpful no matter what fit you are using.

It might be more versatile but only slightly. Myofibrils would only be useful on very specific fits and only if the scout had a melee damage that did more than tickle. However, cardiac regulators will very rarely be used by a min scout. One of the other scouts calculated that for distances under something like 700m 2x kincats will let you cover those distances faster than 2x cardiac regulators or 1x kincat and 1x cardiac regulator.
50% seems fine to me.
