With the new changes coming to the game we have seen some changes that are also coming to the scout suits, new bonuses and the cloak fields. But is this really redefining the role of the scout or just providing fake hope. For example the Gallente Logistics will be the best scanner in the game but with the scouts losing their dampening bonus with our current stats it is impossible to stay stealthed. And what about the cloak, let's say you do manage to cloak in behind an enemy, an Assault suit, can a scout really lay down 1000 damage before this behemoth turns around with 3 damage modifiers and a 10% DPS buff?
Side note: What about proto stomp, is CCP going to equalize the slot layout of all suits etc implement some tiercide. |

if we get a full respec with 1.8, i will probably go Caldari Scout. The bonus looks awesome, and i'm interested in how the cloak will play out. I really want to get good with the cloak.

You're looking at it wrong. Well, I shouldn't say that, because this is a sandbox and you can look at it any way you want. But in my opinion, you are looking at it wrong. Scouts shouldn't be using the cloak to try and kill people, they should be using the cloak to try and sneak past people and hack their objectives, hack their supply depots and turrets, destroy their equipment, or just be an general distraction and nuisance for the enemy team.
Also in the IRC CCP said they are planning on doing more specializations from the light frame dropsuits other than just pilot. Specifically, they said other combat-style specializations from the light frame.

I'm speculating that the base dB will be lower on scout suits. Hoping too!
