So there is no real reason to actually run for it. You might want to make this game better but how you want to achieve it when "transperancy and discussion about changes" are leaked by us normal people before the CPM's even had a clue about it. Just look at the new suits and bonus changes that are about to happend. Out of the blue and totally unexpected. Honestly i would advice that nobody runs for CPM just to tech CCP a lesson. As to why one would want to run for the CPM, it could just be for an idealistic desire to make the game better, or the notion that by getting in you will be able to help CCP in some capacity. Of course anybody who wants to run will need to be tougher than a tank with 3 hardeners on at once, and willing to do a thankless job with long hours, no pay, and lots of responsibility as a public figure (on the forums / IRC at least)

So everyone going in has something behind it that's a little less altruistic then claimed. I do indeed claim to want to do it because I want to make DUST 514 a better game. But that's because of my selfish desire to get a return on investment on the last year I've invested in it (not to mention money), as well as a not insignificant amount of ego that leads me to believe I can do more than someone else in the same position. (At the very least, better than some other potential candidates.) Ironwolf, I've been a masochistic optimist for as long as I can remember. Help elect me, give me the year, I will still be optimistic. I will be miserable, I will hate everyone and everything, but there will be sunshine and ponies the year after, I swear! (Or, more than likely, a game that sucks just a little bit less than the year before.) I'd like to be your CPM1 candidate
