I doubt there will be any FOTM. The possible changes to dropsuits seem semi-balanced. If anything, I have a feeling the Assault mk.0 will be making more appearances as a primary slayer on the field. |

No one cares about armor reps. When your shot your dead. The Amarr Suit is great because of the laser bonus.
The rep bonus is making it worthless like the basic variant.

Meanwhile, the Assault Ak.0, and Logistics Ak.0 look to be the worst of both classes. Why does CCP hate the Amarr?

No here is the truth.
You are walking along. You get blindsided by two rail rifles lighting you up at the same time. Maybe you jump spin and kill one person and make it behind the crate to hide while you pray for the 2/hp per sec reps save you. You have no HP left. Mean while your getting rushed because they know you are near dead, and your scrambler rifle is overheated in your hands. Can't switch weapons can't sprint for the next 6 seconds. All while you have a WHOPPING 15 hp regained,
Maybe you just die instantly from the rails.
The AMARR suit is useless without the laser bonus, it is effective as the basic variant.

But here is the thing. We don't have any idea if the base stats of the suits will be changed. Will the slot layouts change? Will the armor/shield HP be changed? Will the CPU/PG be changed? Without these data points to go by, we won't get the full context of the changes. Keep in mind that the data shown on SiSi is very limited on the suits as we can't see suit stats on Eve Online yet.

Of course we don't; that's why we're basing conclusions on the data we do have. And as far as the finality of these stats is concerned... don't forget that we have a precedent in the Ferroscale and Reactive plates.

Armor reps are a complete joke. CCP Logibro confirmed that they are tweaking various suits' HP, CPU, PG, Slots, and other various base stats. With that said, there is not enough evidence to confirm nor deny anything. Just because the Amarr Assault suit we know today has the fewest slots doesn't mean the Amarr Assault suit they planned this bonus for has the fewest slots.

It's the armor rep itself. 5 hp base at complex. WTF It should rep 10 so the skills could actually multiply something.
Edit: Btw remember what happened with reactive and feroscale plates when we saw them earlier as arkenai pointed out in another thread. Notice how they are still pathetic to this day.

FYI, the game does count decimals in your health in your armor and armor repair rate, even if it's not listed. So a complex armor repair module does 5 hp/s. But to get a complex armor repair module, you have to have level 5 armor repair systems, which grants 25% more efficacy of the modules. Then combine that with the Amarr Assault bonus. So that is: 5 hp/s * 1.25 * 1.25 = 7.8125 hp/s. So each complex repair module will actually do 7.8125 repair per second.

Witch is sadly useless during combat, your better off having 40-85 more EHP to survive a fight then to actually loose EHP to run a repper that gets a 1.6 extra Reps / second.

Lol not really, if you have better strafing and better aim then the enemy you'll win unless you right in front of a heavy or facing a weapon that perfectly counters you. Having fast reps means you can kill some one, rep quickly, then go kill again. Also lets say the guy is right with the 7.8 armor reps a second if you get in a gun fight with some one and you make him miss enough with your strafing that he has to reload lets say 3 sec as its the AR's base reload and an RR's with reload skill, and if you have 1-2 armor reps on you'll gain 23.4 - 46.8 HP. Even he doesn't hit the reload or he has a side arm you're constantly gaining HP during the fight, so the skilled players who can actually strafe and make people miss will gain decent HP during the fight, and if you have cover you can quickly regen you health by ducking in and out of cover.
Also if you don't like the new bonuses for amarr assault skill into a different suit, I'm already saving my SP to switch to a different protosuit.

I take it you run with a logi bro all the time?
Otherwise you're setting yourself up to die in the next firefight. People don't go 20/0 without repairing armor in some fashion.
But I do agree... CCP is screwing with their own lore. Amarr should get HP bonuses, Gallente should get rep bonuses.

It's annoying hearing about how bad "Armor Rep" is.
Getting 12.05-25 HP per second is legit. In certain gun fights, your recovery is a major advantage, despite the TTK. The silly thing is that even though Amarr should be the "stronghold" dropsuits with the best armor tanking capability, they could still make it work with the damn Armor Rep and their Scramble Rifles' range.

Amarr suits have a balance of base Shield and Armor. Now by the time the Shield recharges you will likely have a lot of your armor back too. 2 Armor Repair on an Amarr Assault suit will be equivalent to 3 Armor repair on any other suit.
The Amarr Assault will have more up-time than the Gallente, unless the Gallente is working with a logi. Basically it will make the Amarr Assault suit play more like a Shield suit.
Armor Repair also works contentiously, with no recharged delay, although it will be slower.
It is possible that 5% per level may not be enough to balance it against the other bonuses, but the bonus itself has merit.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else, there is the Learning Coalition.
