This is exactly the type of inflation we don't need in this game.
TTK too low? Increase HP.
TTK too high?
Increase effective damage via ROF.
TTK too low? Increase HP....
Worse yet is that the ROF bonus is not nearly as beneficial to the Mass Driver, Shotgun, and Scrambler Rifle as it is to the Rifles. So now you have 3 Rifles even more overpowered, and 2 of the racial suits are going to have drastically higher HP, leaving those weapons out in the cold.
CCP is changing too many things at once without addressing existing balance issues. |

This RoF bonus plus the minmatar Damage Mod bonus is going to be a problem. |

This is a great example of changing too much.
We're going to to be seeing more suits with more HP AND heavies with resistance to explosives.
That's a pretty severe MD nerf, since the MD will not benefit much from the RoF bonus.
They are deviating further and further from a balanced design, instead of fixing the core design before further modification.
If these changes release as is, it's going to change the entire game, seemingly without taking any input from the CPM, Players, Data, or Observation.

Making code changes, producing a build, and deploying that build to a test server is way, WAY past the whiteboard phase.
These aren't numbers they're just throwing around, these are ideas that they think are good. |
