So apparently, Gaikai streaming is being rebranded PlayStation Now, and coming to PS4 this summer, with The Last Of Us as it's first title.

I was actually wondering, performance of DUST 514 tends to vary from console to console, so taking the game OFF the console might actually get it to perform pretty well, and with less risk of torching or crashing people's machines. I'm guessing Sony's servers can run a game better than your average PS3. And since Sony's servers may have a better link to Tranquility, the latency between players may in fact be the same or less than standard PS3 play.
But it'd put the game in front of PS4 customers without rewriting the game from scratch. I'm sure there'd be work to do to make it work, and it may not be possible at all, but can someone there test it?

Quil, not necessarily, the latency is increased from you to game, but the latency from game to battle server is reduced. It may balance out, actually. And a lot of the frame rate issues that people view as lag are in fact due to PS3 hardware, which Sony's streaming servers could surpass.

Anything else, is like saying, "ooo, I'm gonna play game X, because they have their servers on 10gigabite internet pipes!" when you yourself only have a modem. It aint gonna help you.
You completely missed it. You to game is NOT end-to-end. There's three components, you, the game, and the server.
Let me see if I can draw you a chart. Periods indicate network latency, and... commas indicate frame rate lag.
PS3:
[You],,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,[PS3].............................................[Battleservers]
PS Now:
[You][PS4]...................................................................[PSN][Battleservers]
Sure, the game client is on the other end, but you're still experiencing latency either way. And on top of that, the PlayStation Now emulation server can likely surpass the performance of the PlayStation 3 itself, especially in terms of frame rate, allowing superior performance.
