I have to uninstall DUST.
Not because I want to, but because if I dont, my PS3 will die, was only playing for half an hour, and my PS3 shut off.
And yes, I have sent in tickets.
Hopefully 1.8 fixes this.

It happens at the start of matches too, in fact, majority of the times it has happened is when I'm only 1-3 minutes into a battle.

Dust is a poorly optimized game that damages the hardware it is run on.

Yeah, I think he had similar issues, I think he also stated that he only gets it while playing DUST.
Its also been a known issue for 7-8 months now.

Anyway, yes, you should do something. It happened to "Bastard I" and a few other corpmates: their ps3 now is garbage and would cost too much to repair it, so they bought a ps4 instead.

I point a fan at the back of my PS3, from the side, seems to cut down a lot on the hard locks with dust. Give it a try worked wonders for me.

do you smoke? Try vacuuming out the ports and grilles. I remember right that's the over heat. Also if. You have it in an entertainment center, don't. The fats could cook.an egg. |

I have taken mine and hooked it up to the outside TV and played in 30 degree weather only to still have it freeze.

I wish dust was stable.
I can deal with horrific imbalance like Gallogis with 1000 EHP and damage mods. I can't deal with soul-crushing lag, random crashes, freezes, etc.

It's a hardware problem, not software. Sony was forced to use lead free solder for the international market, but did not use a big enough heat sink to keep the temperature down below critical levels.
What you described indicates that the cpu in your PS3 if failing under stress.
You could try the RLOD repair, it involves disassembly and a heat gun, but could have a positive effect, since the unit still runs... or you could brick it entirely. Good luck

I had a few fatal errors after 1.7, but otherwise no problems with my slim. Going into safe mode (while on, hold the power button till it turns off then hold it until you hear two beeps) and rebuilding the database usually helps a bit - especially after playing Bethesda games. |

I feel your pain. I too was forced to uninstall Dust for the same reason. It is not my hardware as I do regular maintenance. This problem started for me with 1.7 and never before. It most likely has to do with very poor optimization just like a large number of other problems Dust has.
No you kill this blueberry hacking the CRU we are camping. I already killed the last 2.
When will they learn!
