I urge you to pursue this with Logibro and ask for clarification before throwing in the towel. In the meantime, please ignore anyone encouraging you to step aside or who tries to make an issue of your employment. They are either politically motivated in giving you that advice, or they are simply ignorant of the damaging effect on future councils if CCP is allowed to interpret this clause liberally.
I have talked with logibro as soon as the white paper was available, he was going to double check with the legal team but has not gotten back to me yet

Tech,
I've been remiss in not engaging you on your CPM candidacy. Before going further, I concur with Heinrich and Kevall that you likely do not fall into the exclusion category noted in the CPM Whitepaper. I've found many of your comments across the forums to be practical and having some solid thought behind them. You have less of a forum presence than some of the other candidates but that's not the ultimate judge of your interactivity with the community as we all well know.
Here are a few specific questions for you (same as I pose to all candidates):
1) Other than the forums how do you intend to collect and communicate requests, needs, POV of the community? In particular, those outside your corp / alliance.
2) What level of interaction would you like to establish between the CPM and CSM?
3) What are the top 3 short term (next 2mo's) changes you would encourage CCP to make? I'm looking for concrete examples that are realistic to achieve.
4) What are the top 3 mid term (next 6mo's) changes you would encourage CCP to make?
5) In Spring of 2015, when CPM1's term is up, what would you want people to have said about your tenure as a CPM member?
6) Will you be creating a channel for folks to meet and sqd with you during the period before the election?
Thank you for your time.

Glad to hear. In the meantime you're still in the running until you actually find out you are ineligible, not the other way around. Same goes for other candidates, no one should rush to exclude themselves without checking with CCP first. They will ultimately determine eligibility on a case by case basis. |

Absolutely Tech. There should be no reason to deprive the first elected CPM of your expert knowledge of E-Sports when as far as I'm concerned a 'Gaming Company' is one that makes games as their major source of income. Not one that exists as a consequence of games being popular.
Please wait till the legalities are made clearer and LogiBro has got back to you.

A shame. As I told you on Skype, if I were you, I'd run until I got a flat "no". But yeah, it did sound like they were trying to say no nicely or something.
I'd like to be your CPM1 candidate

Already expressed my condolences on Skype, but for sure, I think the CPM will miss out on having someone like you on the Council. But I firmly believe that at a business level, you can probably do as much as the CPM can.
You've said as much on Skype, and I know that you'll continue to be a valued resources for CCP, the CPM, and the players until far into the future.
And silver lining wise, at least you don't have to campaign for your current position, nor can you be unelected.

You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.
