If it becomes a financial issue in that match I run cheaper/free fits. It makes me chuckle a bit when people whine about match making. Because the match making in EVE is so fair and balanced. Right now match making seems like a problem because CCP has set up Dust as FPS game with online only multiplayer rather than an MMOFPS with meaningful decision making and persistence/consequences in New Eden.

I even feel like a **** just running my proto sprinter suit with std CR and kincats/endurance mods to get to the letters fast. Instead ill run a MUCH slower adv sprinter suit. Personally, I just look for double X's on my killscreen before muttering obscenities... I highly doubt new players think to themselves, "It's ok that this 20+M SP player killed my starter fit, he's a scout." Today is the sort of day where the sun only comes up to humiliate you.

Maybe PC is different but plenty of scouts wreck shop in pubs and FW in standard and ADV gear. Back on topic, if you're actually stomping in a scout suit maybe. I would say if you are in a squad with other proto guys steamrolling the competition such that you'd acutally think of stepping down to ADV/STD gear if you were a decent person or wanted some real competition then yes, it counts as a protostomp. Even if you're in a proto scout suit.

The thing is, good squads can stomp anybody, proto or not. As someone who likes to lone it, wouldnt risk using proto. Because without someone watching my back, not going to last much longer, proto or not. If squadded up, there is no need for it. For guys in a squad to use it, it's overkill imo. But to each his own. Great job, team. Head back to the MCC for debriefing and cocktails.
