So you've fixed the vehicles, but the the nova knifes haven't gone through much change. Equipping the nova knifes is suicide for the most part, The description for a nova knife is, "A close-quarters melee weapon, the nova knife is as deadly as deadly a weapon as anything on the battlefield. Its name derives from the heated plasma edge of the blade - formed by a thermic igniter and linear gravity condenser - that, in skilled hand, can be used to carve through even thickest dropsuit armor." So being a close combat weapon, it should specialize more than any other weapon in attack speed and maneuverability at that range. If a knifer is behind the enemy, give the knifer some bonus (remember that any mercenary at any distance can easily take the knifer out). Knifing an enemy in the head should also do bonus damage. I've noticed that the knifer isn't very fast, I was expecting a significant speed boost since it's lightweight, and the speed boost is necessary because there are enemies that walk faster backwards than a knifer walking towards them with a charged knife, resulting in death. please fix the knifes, i really want to specialize in them, but all the disadvantages are far greater than the fun in being a silent mercenary. |

Honestly, i don't see why fully charged nova knives aren't an instant kill weapon, especially since one shot kill shotguns exist and have more range, allow you to sprint, and don't require charging. |

On a SLIGHT mod to that: you could make it so that if a charged blade "touches" the enemy's actual dropsuit, they die. But that does mean they have to make it through the shields first.
So, normal effectiveness against shields, but 1000% efficiency against armor?

Recommendations to CCP:
1. Allow us to sprint with the charge held. 2. Initiating a quick-slash attack shouldn't interrupt our sprint. 3. Adjust the field of vision to be a little wider when using the knives so that we won't get disoriented in CQC knife combat.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

that would make me dizzy, having my FOV getting shrunk and expanded every time I changed weapon. Which is frequently.
I'd rather have triggerable, zoomable radar

Remember that a shotgun is a light weapon whereas the knives are a sidearm. Although you are right, they could make the charge more versatile.

tell that to my ceo who loves the things. he has knifed me in the back plenty of times in pubs.
he just speed and melee damage mods the hell out of them. he can have 3+ dead before you know what's happening. if these things were insta killers then everyone would fit them.
maybe a 3rd person view however would aid in their use but only for novas. this way you can make sure your nova strikes land more often

The damage Nova Knifes do when charged up should get a massive damage increase in one of the next monthly patches.
You should be able to sprint while charging nova knifes.
nova knifes should get a 5% range increase.
nova knifes should swing faster and charge up slightly faster
(but also constantly damage the wielder slightly after they have been fully charged for more than 3 seconds, and the over heat damage should stop once the knifes have cooled down, but they should not seize up like the scrambler rifle, I mean overheating the nova knifes should not prevent the wielder from attacking).
Initiating a quick slash attack should interrupt the sprint of the wielder of the nova knifes |

I think I like that idea better instead of increasing the damage of a charged nova knife attack |
