I get thrown into battles with uneven teams, in fact I had 3 v 9, and a 4 v 2 battle yesterday.
I still get battles with a full tea of friendlies, but 0 enemies.
In both these sorts of cases, matchmaking does not add any new players even though its clearly needed.
Matchmaking has no problem adding players to battles about to end. Why does matchmaking not add players to mostly empty battles, yet add players to battles about to end? I have even seen players joining in the VICTORY/DEFEAT screen.
Still fails at matching players with those of their own skill levels. If there is a squad of high skill players, match them against enemy squads of high skill players, don't throw them in with a bunch of NPC corp newbs.
Please fix.

Many headaches coming from matchmaking queuing you into nearly finished games could be fixed by a lockout trigger. At a certain time near the end of a match (specified by X number of clones, ticks on the MCC, or minutes left in battle), your "leave battle" option disappears and no new players are allowed to join the battle. So people who rage quit just because they don't want their final score on the scoreboard would have to hard reset to restart the game. |

On a related note: Players who leave battle in FW should lose Loyalty Points and Standing with the faction for deserting... If they don't already.

Devs only post on topics that have no constructive input to the game.
Such as the topic a while back that i think was titled we want moar stuffs! or some crap like that. |

I'm always getting put into Domination matches (when I run solo) that have 2 squads on the other team, and I'm literally the only person on my team that's even in a player corp.
Matchmaking needs serious help.

All I run is Domination and I literally hate it when it constantly dumps you into matches where everyone on the other team isn't in a squad or are low level players....
No enemy orbitals, no pushing, no challenge and no fights. :(

There are a few things that probably make matchmaking hard for poor little Scotty.
The low player base combined with the low desired wait times.
When matchmaking came out everyone complained about the long wait times. Presumably CCP reduced the wait time to get everyone into battle sooner.
This would have reduced the available player pool for Scotty to deal with.
CCP still needs to fix it though. |

NPE is key to the game, and improved matchmaking is vital to an improved NPE.
CCP please make this a priority, even if fixes beyond the simple ones (like a lockout timer as mentioned above and evening out team numbers at minimum) are still relegated to the SOONtm pile for tech/resource reasons improvements to this core feature would be very beneficial to the game.
