So, since 1.7 I'm experiencing this rly annoying bug from time to time.
For some reason, the popup-window to call in vehicles 'randomly' pops up during fire fights, usually ending up in me dying.
As far as I know, you have to be doing three things at the same time. ADS, Strafe and R1 (pull the trigger, not shooting).
I think it is especially related to pressing the R1, since it happens a lot more when i'm using the scrambler rifle, then compared to the assault rifle (one shot weapon vs automatic weapon).
Anyone else has noticed this bug, and has figured out exactly how to reproduce/avoid it? |

I've experienced something similar, but it's my map screen that tends to continuously pop up. It tends to happen in some matches more than others, so I don't think it's a controller issue. |

Odd. So it isn't just me that this happens to. The times I noticed it is whenever I get within 10m of certain people. I'm not too sure how to replicate it, but it triggered for me, without fail, when I entered a certain range. I could say the name of the corp that I had encountered when this was going on, since literally no one else was able to kill me that game except for those laggy little *****, but I'm not going to name and shame. No, it's not the Nyan Cats or whatever their name is.

This looks like a controller problem. You can try to pressing R3 vertically just slightly and you will notice that it could open overview map, vehicle deployment window or perform crouch. It comes back to normal after changing to a new controller. Hope this helps.

I get this all the time if I try sprinting I either call in a lav, open the map or throw a grenade at my toes or sometimes a combination of all 3. Putting my controller on charge (even if its fully charged) fixes this so it does seem like a controller error. Except for one thing every other PS3 game I play has 0 controller errors like this even when using the same controller at very low battery levels. So yes this is a controller error but it only happens in DUST so obviously there is something about DUST magnifying the effect.

DUST 514 seems to be the ONLY game in my inventory that causes random PS3 System problems.

this happens to me ALL THE TIME i thought it was my contoller until i actually decided to play a dif game for a minute and nothing happened.....
let me ask you though, does it also pop up other screens like the neo com or the map?.... mine does.

Hi Eddy,
The buttons on a PS3 Dualshock controller are pressure-sensitive, i.e. not just 0 and 1. Have the dev-team look into using this to determine if the button is pushed down properly (value > 25%?), and not touched gently (value > 0).

I was just in a game, had this happen to me about five or six times, made me lose about three proto suits in the process. It's weird too because it doesn't always happen, but it's still rage inducing when it does. I hope this issue gets resolved soon so I can stop getting thrown into the menus in the middle of combat. >_< |

Ashland (the map with the L-pipe and straight pipe, now connected) is really notorious for giving me this glitch, and it usually happens in the first one or two games after I get on. I don't often get this problem after playing for a while (regardless of the map).
Still, when it happens it's really bad - like pulling me into the map screen every 1-2 seconds. So frustrating when under fire. |

this happens to me on both my dualshock 3 controllers since 1.7, it is reproducible if I pull the left stick all the way back and push L3
it happens in the air too which is a real buzzkill if I am trying to not crash my dropship |

It does seem to be something in game as I have 3 different controllers that will sometime randomly pop up a screen.

I'm having the same issue. It happens whenever L3 gets pressed, but it happens randomly, though it seems like certain maps cause the problem more than others. I was about to go get a new controller. I probably will anyway to have a backup and I'll post if that solves the problem. |

I have the same issue, either my map or my vehicle deploy screen randomly open. It does seem to happen more frequently in the first 2-3 games and especially when I use a Combat Rifle (maybe hitting r1 in a fast pace while ADS and straving like mentioned before). I really hope this problem gets resolved soon so that I cant blame anyone or anything else but myself for loosing expensive Dropsuits. |

This isn't just an issue with the reporting user.
I see issues where when sprinting (with the normal control configuration) that I will randomly pull a grenade and throw it.
I see the issue with all three of my controllers, but it is intermittent, and typically seems to show up after playing multiple matches.

swapping controllers dose fix this problem but i don't have this issue on my other 2 accounts just the 1 and it doesn't happen to me in any other games

When I switched controllers the problem is fixed as well. I'm leaning towards the issue being controller related, however doing may be what makes it an issue. |

Hello, when I press the sprint button (L3) the scoreboard will pop up. This happens seemingly at random and got me killed more then once. Please look into this. |
