Seriously as anyone ever just shot a tank while it's hardeners are down?
They are a 2-3 hit with my forge. Not even with max proficiency,
Heres a tip for you guys. Get a LAV. Follow a tank, when you see his hardeners finally go down, get out and collect an easy kill.
Or if you got a good vantage point, watch and wait until it goes off.
I've killed a tank while it was hardened before. Of course i had help from some swarms.
A few tips for Forge Gunners.
Hitting the back of a tank can other do 168% extra damage or 206%.
keep out of sight until you got the best line of sight to shoot.
Don't bother shooting a tank while it's hardened unless it's weak. Or you need to scare it off. even 3-4 shots will hurt a tank while hardened.
lav's are your friend. Use them.

My best advice is to get an LAV bpo and advanced remote explosives. Fit out a crap logi suit with a remotes and F/45 remotes and load up the front bumper. Put the explosives in two clusters on the front left and front right corner. Ride your jeep behind them and slam a corner into them. If you don't explode instantly, jump out and detonate.
My fit for this costs 14k, their tank at a minimum is 60k. Even if I fail twice, I win eventually. It takes practice but you learn where to drive on each map and how it's done properly. The overview map is your friend when plotting your dirty deed. YMMV, but I find failing to be just as hilarious as success so motivation is no problem. I've also not been kicked from FW since they hotfixed remote damage on friendly things. |

I always see people attacking tanks when they're at their strongest. Never giving any thought to the plan after the hardeners are down.

In my last match I just learned that all you need to kill a tank is to turn it upside down.

Does indeed happen, alternating between multiple hardeners, the window of opportunity for attack is unreasonably small in these cases.

Especially for Swarm Launchers, which will hit far too late to make a difference.

Yeah dual shield hardeners ( complex ) and that "window" is 12 sec. And that's if he needs to putt the second one on strait away
Or my fav.. A sica with 2 shield hardeners a armor hardner and a heavy armor reper
