I have no idea what socket your talking about.
I have never played this game and got less than 20FPS, maybe your console is old or decrepit, or both!

You mean the large socket the socket set is named after, Gallante Research Facility.
You and your squad are probably throwing to many grenades or youf enemy is lag bombing by supply depot.

well you did post a video that consisted of you chop strafing and lobbing packed locus grenades. Also notice I never mentioned spam I implied you were rather liberal with there use. Also consider I provided a second possibilty.
As I also said, I have never encountered problems on that socket, which would imply its down to you and not the game.
Finally I would like to point out this game is being run on a brand new engine. Its a hashed together version of Unreal and whatever they run EvE on.
No-one else has ever used this engine, it has not been optimized, it has not been improved, worked on what could be deemed a skeleton crew of developers who have never used the engine.

Why? A few tweaks could be done here or there sure.
But lag is not the maps fault, as discussed lag bombing can be achieved.
Its not down to the map just the code incapable of optimizing the power draw on using multiple hives in a condensed area.

No-one has ever used an Unreal/Trinith Engine Hybrid.
