If you come and tell me that the bloody spam is fine then you are: a) an idiot. or b) a scrubby tank spammer. Solution
Limiting both teams at 2 tanks each will solve the problem. Keep in mind that this is only for ambush, other gamemodes have redlines where calling in your own tanks and setting up a counter attack is possible. Besides, tanks rarely get spammed in dom and skirm, it only in ambush that the problem is persistent (and extremely aggravating).

Just wait for them to appear to be shooting long range, put some REs on their back, throw a packed AV grenade for assurance, and detonate the RE when they freak out. Ambush isn't a strategic game mode in the slightest, it's just an average team deathmatch mode that doesn't fit in at all with the game setting. Your "skills" developed in Ambush won't help you in the slightest in the "real Dust 514" (FW, skirmish and PC). I don't get why anyone even bother with wasting time on Ambush, so frankly I don't really give a crap if tank spamming proves problematic in Ambushes. The old saying: "Can't take the heat? Then stay out of the kitchen" seems awfully applicable here.

What they should do is limit it to maybe 4, and then make it so each person is only allowed to call in 1 tank per match. That way if it gets killed it will allow another player to try and it really slows down the tank spam.

I don't know about you, but I feel like I never get enough time to really hone my skills with aiming and AV. Now I do. I can spam a low cost AV grenadier with RE or just a hive, and chase away most tanks by myself. What I really like though, is running a Commando suit with Swarms. I can have a rifle and AV at the same time, and that is the way that all the matches will all soon be. Vehicle spam throughout the different types of matches will soon be the normal. As it should be in the future of warfare. Yes, people have agility and dexterity to enter the buildings, but one good tanker can hold a point forever. So what makes more sense.

Basically, you are saying, I should be able to use my tank, but everyone else should not ? When i deploy, i just call in 3-5 Havs of my own then let them stand there until some berries find em and distract the enemy teams, its pretty ISK efficient. Dying 7 times in a 200k proto suit because of Enormous Tank spam on the opponent side = 1.4m ISK lost Dying 0 times in a 200k proto suit because the opposing team has trouble killing my 500k ISK value of tanks making their life impossible = Priceless Tankers wanted tanks on the field, they got it ....we infantry will play ball and adapt + HTFU!
