The mountain of Doom was a great point to fight over for the overview vantage and sniper points. to open it up to both sides you need to put an access path for both sides.  |

So, is the Mountain of Doom scenario like a domination map with the single objective at the top of a peak, like a king-of-the-mountain type of situation?

no the mountain wasn't an objective but it allowed you to see all the objectives.
forge guns, snipers, and rail tanks were the ones to topically use this mountain however anyone could get there and there was multiple ways to surprise people on top.
I liked that map and was somewhat disappointed when it was removed. It had its high points but we didnt need a dropship to get to them which i can't say for alot of our current maps where spaming uplinks on unreachable buildings is guaranteed success.

it was called mantis peak and they just revamped the map into mantis flats the flat area to the south of the points used to be a mountain the dropships could not get high enough to drop people on so you had to go up on foot that is how I started into scouts so that I could be there first and be ready for unsuspecting snipers to try to start up and then stab them with zn-28 nova knifes
