Well the first night of Steamy Dust has passed. The result:
This was a triumph. I'm making a note here: Huge success! It's hard to overstate my satisfaction. Saliva Incorporated. We played Warframe, because, we can. For the good of all of us except zDemoncake(he wasn't there). But there's no sense crying because you didn't play. Once you join our family you're here to stay. And we'll have a lot of fun, with our swords and our guns, with the Dusters who play on Steam. Spiderbacca.

Anyways, yea, Warframe was pretty fun. Once everyone is NOT sick, and can use comms, it'd be even MORE fun!
Things I've learned from this: Sandromin has no idea how to pronounce his own name  . Tesla Grenades are pretty f*cking cool. Never bring an Oberon to a noob fight. I need to buy a new weapon so that I don't insta-kill things and make it boring for the newbies (Sorry... :P). Aaaand. Something else. Oh right, there's a boss there that is WAY too difficult for what level it's at. Oh well doe. Because I F*CKING MURDERED HIM IN HIS BUMHOLE!
So yup. Post your Steam name below, I'll friend you, there will be many Warframe. Maybe. It depends on if you have Warframe, but it's pretty much the only online game I have that's on Steam. Besides Defiance. And Terraria, if I Port Forward.

Awesome! Can I let you in on a secret? The system requirements are pretty inaccurate in any game. They list requirements for if you want to play at max settings.
I run a pre-built Dell Laptop, have ~286 GB of free space, and have... I don't know which model, but some kind of nVidia graphics card/driver/whatever, that is probably the only custom part of this computer.
I run Warframe at ~100 FPS, drops down to around ~80 if it's a crowded room. However, there are some latency issues sometimes, but that's just because of distance. The most you'll experience is probably a bit of input lag OR minor teleportation lag.
I'm nowhere near the systems requirements. I had an issue, at one point, and I sent in a DXDiag report to the support team, and I got an email back saying "Oh, I'm sorry, but you don't even come close to meeting the requirements". So yup.

Alright cool, my laptop has an intel duo core i7 4th gen . 8 gigs Ram, Nvidia Gfx card 2 gigs dedicated vid memory. I hope there's a push to talk button because I don't want to have the laptops mic constantly on. I'm a rather quiet one.

We use Steam to do voice, which does have a PTT feature. I use Tab, because it's not far from the movement keys. :)

Bought Gmod, played some single-player, made a little base, with TF2 guards.
I made a small scene as well. A red solder was guarding my base with a heavy, but the heavy got killed by a Scout, and you can see the scout got killed by A LOT of bullets. It was a Heavy Machine Gun. I also made some pretty nice-looking scenery.

This can actually be a bad idea, we've been connected to EVE online, which means that we will most likely **** off some capsuleers at some point during our time in New Eden.
My EVE character isn't even a year old and I pissed someone off so much that they somehow found out what my steam username was from my EVE account and now joins me whenever I play another game so he can hack it to grief me. |

I have no idea how many other people have had that problem, but so far only The Sandman plays EVE. At least, from this list. We mostly play Gmod, TF2, Warframe... I dunno what else. Hoping that some people will have Defiance, so we can have a huge groups of people. :D

Less of an assumption that we all play EVE and more of an assumption that we'll all end up part of corps and will have some sort of real impact on the capsuleers and might do something to upset them.
All I did was place a bounty on someone that ganked me, shows you how little it takes to send some people over the edge. People with thin skin shouldn't play games like EVE, they say HTFU for a reason.
Anyway if you guys are interested in MOBAs without all the rageiness of DOTA and LoL Guardians of Middle Earth is a good one, but I'd recommend playing it on the PS3, the PC controls were awful and the playercount too small. (originally on PS3, got ported to PC) |
