Hello this time we get some more dirty tactics involving remote explosives. The jihad LAV is a good start but we can do even more with our fancy remote explosives then pretending like a suicidal monkey. What you will need for building a IED bomb is this:
-a logi suit with 3 equipment slots -2 sets of remote explosives -1 set of prximity mines -"location"
so now that we have all the matching components lets start. Like a good suicidal monkey we learned that "location, location and again location" is everything for sucess and the key for your 72 virgins (does not count for imortal clone soldiers). So you find yourself a spot where tanks pretty likely will drive trough then you stack 6 remote explosives and a proxy mine. As soon the tanker drives over it the proxy mine will cause a chain reaction insta killing any vehicle ranging from a LAV to a fully loaded tank.
This however only works in FW-PC cause the "friendly fire" that the proximity mine causes to trigger the remote explosives does not happend in regular pub matches. And you dont really need to worry about beeing kicked from FW by damaging your own equipment with this method. Remote explosives only have 1HP so if you put 6 down you only loose 6 out 5000 from the damage cap.
I shall show you a world, a world which you cant imagine, a world full off butthurt n00bs at the other end of my gun

Didn't they remove the equipment penalty?
If they didn't, I might have to rethink my "destroy all lag inducing uplink/hive" spam.
Lore-wise: Calamari are my preferred. Amarricans are my despised.
Importantly: Frogs n' Brutes have all my stuff...

We call those "tank busting traps". It's a tactic heralded from Battlefield. It's nothing new. It's also what I've been doing since 1.7's launch.

Also if you are in pubs still line the street with RE and mines, wait for a vehicle to head you way and pop them remotely. Works on tanks and LAVs. Another great trick if you can pull it off is place an RE in the roof of an entrance, then place a uplink under it. The clone cannot resist the temptation to destroy it and will shoot it, once they do set of your RE. For a double wammy place an RE under the uplink and above there head, BAM instant gratification

You know I had dreams of doing stuff like this? I wanted to set a line of explosives leading to a massive set a little ways off. It would be hard to set up but would love to essentially blow up a huge swathe of area because I shot 1 remote/proxy starting the chain reaction. Would be even cooler now because you could climb walls.
Sadly, I tried this in PC ages ago and it never worked. I never could get it to explode the other set of remotes/mines. It would explode a buddy's set but never the other set I laid down. Maybe it works now, it could have worked all along I may have just messed up and given up. |

Yeah get with the times. Proxi traps are now old news. Those that know use them, those that don't... Well they don't matter. |
