How you ask? Remove active scanners. I think it would be cool to have them scout for their squad, and let their team know where the enemy is, rather than using wallhack. It also adds to the realism to the game, but that is probably irrelevant...

How about they refresh the scout suits instead?
If you don't like being scanned then put SP into profile reduction and run some dampeners in your scout suit...you'll be fine. There is no need to remove or nerf tools or options that other folks use to make your preferred style better or in some cases viable at all.
I'm not a scout player but I'm a big advocate for them. I think the answer is refreshing the scouts (notice I purposely didn't say buff) so that their roles are viable and they have a valued role on the battlefield. |

Yea the active scanner has too many advantages, I mean the thing is capable of scanning over 100m away so you have no need for a scout on the ridge giving you any info because you already know when everything is coming. Adding in the twirl and scanners scan over 30000m area every time they scan for awful long times.
I'm not saying scanners need removed but damn that is hugely powerful. I know there is somewhat of a counter to scanning but still.
I wish recon was more important to this game, would love to hear a sniper relaying info and overwatching. I wish my passive scanning scout could be of use rather than be told by my squad that they are worthless skills because active scanners put passive to shame. I wish a cloak scout infiltrated only to let your squad know what is ahead, not merely as a cheap kill tactic. |

Scout snipers have a role. It's called sniping and relaying information. There's no need to impose a removal or even nerf to scanners for that.
I've been in many PC battles where a well placed sniper held down an outside objective by himself while relaying enemy troop movements to us. It already works fine. The problem is most snipers in pub matches don't communicate at all. Removing scanners won't force them to buy mics or join squads to relay information. |

The only thing snipers need is more alpha damage, in my opinion.
Any Medium suit is a better sniper because of their high slots.
My main sniper is scout with charge and 2 cmpx mods and my "fk u" is proto Fed logi, 3 cmpx mods and a thale. |

Give scouts suits the ability to have cloak from a distance but become visible when aiming down the sights or when they are close to an enemy. Scanners can also spot scouts. Might be to op but it will make being a scout more fun and give a reason to level up that precision enhancement skill. |

does nobody remember shared vision? scanners are fine, or would you rather go back to everybody sees everybody and everything with shared vision?
i run a med frame and have no problem fitting a complex dampener on EVERY fitting i have.
SCAN ATTEMPT PREVENTED....ahhhh, that feels so good when you sneak up behind 3 fools, who blindly trust their scanners |

Something like "There's a heavy with a pro gal logi coming your way. Logi has 400 armor." Relaying info while being hidden sounds great. I think the cloak will save scout snipers. Here comes a red to shoot you with a rail rifle *activate cloak. |
